Bio Hunter and Dark Cat definitely have the old school gore thing going on, as well as plots that are semi interesting, and characters that don't have a lot of back story. If you are looking for an interesting horror series, you'd probably enjoy this.

These are both pretty trashy horror stories filled with crazy monsters and even crazier events, with neither making much sense, or being particularly impressive.  But if you are a fan of gory horror then you're likely to get a kick out of these, even if it is just a small gore kick.

Judge and Dark Cat both have one thing in common: they both have a bit of a story to go along with the horror/gore thing. I thought both were above average as well, so I am pretty sure you'd enjoy one if you liked the other.

Vampire Wars and Dark Cat both take horror and gore to a different level, combining them with unusual plots as well. Dark Cat definitely isn't anywhere as dark as Vampire Wars, but they both still have the same kind of feel to them.

While Dark Cat and Megami Tensei OVA might appear to have nothing in common, both have a horror aspect to them that feels similar, thus making me think you'd like one if you liked the other. Unlike some horror series that are fairly generic and silly, both of these have an interesting premise, even if I did like Dark Cat a lot more than Megami Tensei OVA. Try it out.

Battle Royal High School

Battle Royal High School

Hyoudo is a ‘typical' high school boy who carries out his martial arts battles wearing a jaguar mask. However, there's more to Hyoudo than meets the eye - he's also the counterpart to a Demon Master named Byoudo from the dark realm, and soon comes to be possessed by the evil force! As if that isn't strange enough, there's also an evil Fairy Master whose goal is to spread her nests of bloodthirsty offspring, a pair of space time continuum enforcers, a sword-slinging demon hunter and tentacle monsters galore. Will the Demon Master Byoudo or Fairy Master succeed in taking over Earth, or can they be stopped?

These anime have the same plot. A high school is invaded by grotesque genital shaped monsters and it's up to some special students to stop the monsters from taking over the school and then the world.

These are both gore filled anime with hilariously awful English dubs that enhance the viewing experience. Although Dark Cat's dub is sooo bad that it has to be heard to be believed, whereas Battle Royal's dub is the sounds like it was recorded in a broom closet kind of bad. Both anime have a ton of nudity just for the sake of it, so when students aren't being exploded by monsters then one of the females probably has their boobs exposed...if both aren't happening at the same time.

Both of these anime have very little plot and are all about the action. Dark Cat is a bit dull and slow paced, but Battle Royal is more fun than a barrel of monkies if you're into the so bad it's good, WTF am I watching kind of anime.

Devilman: The Demon Bird

Devilman: The Demon Bird

Demons exist and their power is beyond what humans can fathom. In fact they are so strong that humans do not stand a chance against them in a fight. The only thing strong enough to defeat a demon is another demon and it is trough this logic that Ryo Asuka hatches the plan to have his good-hearted friend Akira Fudo possessed by a demon. If a person is of pure of heart then he might be able to control the demon that posses him and thereby acquire power equal to a demon. After raising some hell in a club the plan works and Akira is possessed by the powerful demon known as Amon. Now Akira is humanities sole champion of justice against the hidden demon menace that has plagued humanity since the dawn of time.
