On a lush tropical island filled with palm trees, many animals congregate to take place in the Olympic Games. From rousing matches of tug of war to quick races through the land and skies, there are plenty of fun competitions to be had between these athletes! Who will be deemed the winners?
A lively day of sports has arrived! For plenty of animals this means rousing competitions of skill and stamina. Monkeys swing from their hands and tails on the high bar; bears and even a hippo dive from high above into a tiny pool; and kangaroos and pigs box it out in the ring. From acrobatics to one-on-one combat, there’s plenty of fun to be had in sports!
Both of these shorts show animals competing for fun and glory in athletic events; definitely a good recommendation pair.
Both anime are very old and are about animals having fun with sports. Both are short and sweet. Either should please if you liked the other.
If you enjoy watching animals competing in various sporting events, then you'll likely find both Doubutsu-mura no Sports Day and Dankichi-jima no Olympic Taikai to your liking.
It’s sumo time! Plenty of animals come together for a rousing set of battles in the ring, but only one will prove victorious. Will it be the duck, the monkey, or maybe even the elephant that will win the day? Only time and skill will tell!
If you like animals partaking in sporting events, then I can guarantee that both Doubutsu Sumo Taikai and Dankichi-jima no Olympic Taikai will be right up your street.
Tazusa Sakurano is a 16-year-old girl whose beauty is worth $10 billion -- or at least, that's how she describes herself. She is a skilled figure skater who represents Japan, and is working hard to earn a spot in the Olympics; but unfortunately, at the same time that she fumbled on her triple lux, a ghost possessed her body! His name is Pete Pumps, and he now sees all that Tazusa sees, and feels all that she feels -- especially hard falls. The two have no idea why Tazusa's body was chosen, and how to undo it. If things weren’t complicated enough, the media also hounds Tazusa for being a poor representative for Japanese women in the figure skating arena, and worst of all she has absolutely no privacy! Realizing that there's no way fight against the situation, Tazusa and Pete work together to give their best performance in figure skating.
Both anime are about competing in the olympics and trying your best. Ginban Kaleidoscope is about the winter sports where Dankichi-jima no Olympic Taikai takes on the summer and has animal protagonists instead of humans like Ginban Kaleidoscope. Both show great competive spirt so I suggest checking out one if you liked the other.
