Uruno, a failure of a wolf, is currently traveling to find himself a new place to call home; but upon chancing across a rabbit, he attacks it only to realize that this particular rabbit is stronger than any predator! Soon afterwards he discovers that this entire forest he has come across is home to similar 'useless animals' that are atypical of their species. He decides to stick around when he meets his love interest in the form of a clumsy cheetah, and with his new friends, he meets the rest of the animals in the forest, causing much hijinx and fun in the process!
Dogtato-kun is one of the many half-animal/half-vegetable inhabitants of Veggietown! Along with Croconion, Cucumbird, Hedgetato and the rest of the gang, Dogtato-kun and Veggietown's edible dwellers will have fun, fall in love, and make new friends, all without losing a leaf!
Both of these series are about a community of different animals with a twist. Dogtato-kun features 'vegetable animals' and Damekko Doubutsu is about a group of animals that are utterly useless. While dogato-kun is more child-like than Damekko Doubutsu, if you liked the twist of one series and looking at how these creatures interact with each other in their daily lives then you are likely to enjoy the other.
Tohru Honda is a compassionate girl who is down on her luck. Her mother having recently died, she has been forced to camp out in the woods for shelter. However, things start to turn around once she is invited to live with class hunk Yuki Sohma and his family... but all is not as it seems! Yuki's family is burdened with a dark curse which causes them to turn into the animals of the Chinese zodiac once hugged by a member of the opposite sex... and Honda may be the only one who can help them.
Both animes include charectors who are 'animals'. the charectors fight one another and have someone they all respect. Also the comedy in both animes is just awesome!
Ayumi, Kei, Koyoi, Rika and Nao are five middle school friends whose hot topic of conversation is, as always, love. Ayumi dreams of having a boy confess to her and can't understand the idea that receiving unwanted confessions can be troublesome. She even believes that she will happily accept any guy who approaches her - that is, until she receives a love letter from Misao, a large, delinquent high school boy whose very presence makes small children cry! Not wanting to date him but too scared to reject him, Ayumi has no idea what to do, especially when Misao, now nicknamed Beast-kun by the girls, begins following her to and from school. To make matters worse, Ayumi then falls for Mamoru, a boy in her class who is Beast-kun's brother! With plenty of experiences in life and love left ahead, will the girls retain their naive beliefs, or is it time to shake off that brother complex and realize that appearances aren't everything?
Bith animes are simular in a very weird way. Both of them have outragous charectors who act by their whim. complicated realationships. although I find Damekko Doubutsu childish and Hatsukoi Limited to be a more mature show~!
Join Haruhi, Yuki, Kyon, Mikuru, Itsuki, and the rest of the gang in their all-new adventures. From creepy dreams, dodge ball games, quiz shows, and cosplay contests, the excitement never stops! Can Kyon, the only normal student of the SOS Brigade, make sense of all these odd occurrences, attempt to avoid them, and hopefully survive them with his sanity intact? With the adventure and mystery-seeking Haruhi in his way, along with aliens, espers, and time travelers, he certainly has his doubts!
Silly, sensless and short, three great things about both of these shows.
Although they are just a fun bit of fluff, Haruhi-chan and Useless Animals are a great way to waste a few minutes a day and not have to keep up with a complex storyline. I think fans of one show will love the frivolity of the other :)
If you like one of these you will probably enjoy the other. Both revolve around creatures that look like animals and it focuses on the antics of them. A lot of the character types are similar between the 2 shows and the characters quite often find themselves in strange situations.
As I watch these shows I can't help but think of the other.
