Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal

Yuma Tsukumo is perhaps the worst Duel Monsters player of all time, but that never stopped him from challenging anyone and anything that could shuffle a deck. When a strange dream leads him to unlock an inter-dimensional gateway, Yuma finds himself connected to a mysterious being named Astral who suffers from amnesia. He wasn't the only thing to come through the gate though, for the powerful Numbers cards have been unleashed into the world, each containing a fragment of Astral's memory. With Astral as his guide, Yuma must defeat those who posses the Numbers and reclaim them in battles where defeat means death for his new partner.

Both of these are colorful shounen series about children (and some adults) who complete against one another using a popular game. Both main characters are new to the game and must learn how to play it before they start getting serious; they also both have annoying catch-phrases. Because these are both new series, I think they are a better match over older generations.

Beyblade

Beyblade

Beyblading is the latest rage; gyroscopes battle each other in different environments until one is knocked out. Only a true master can bring out a blade’s full potential and unleash the bitbeast within, though. To find out who the true blade master is, a tournament is held. While going up against a team of bio-enhanced beybladers, can the talented but hard-headed Tyson and his team, the Bladebreakers, master their bitbeasts and bring home the win?

Both of these are fun shounen series about kids who play a children's game competitively. They also both involve spirits living inside the toys (B-Animals and Bit-Beasts). If you're a fan of this type of genre, you'd probably enjoy them both.

Gundam Build Fighters

Gundam Build Fighters

The time is the near future. Years have passed since the 1980s, when "Gunpla"--plastic models based on the "Mobile Suit Gundam" animation--created a huge boom. Now, a new wave is sweeping the world, in what could be called a second Gunpla boom. Its popularity is driven by "Gunpla Battle," in which assembled Gunpla can be controlled and made to fight. With the introduction of this revolutionary Battle System, its popularity has expanded to the point that a Gunpla Battle World Tournament is held each year.

Both anime are in a tournament setting, they both use toys to battle and have a competition and have a colorful cast of characters, very similar and entertaining.

I agree, this show falls in the same category of battle games and if you enjoy Beyblade Burst you'll enjoy the action of Cross Fight B-Daman which I personally enjoy more.
