Follow interstellar bounty hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black as they scour the galaxy for criminals with prices on their heads. Hoping to escape their past, they live on the spaceship Bebop, but it's a dangerous business and old enemies don't forget easily. Allies come from unlikely sources, however, as they find comrades in the beautiful swindler Faye Valentine, the genius child hacker Ed and the genetically engineered 'data dog' Ein. Will they be able to help each other though their respective struggles, or is their fate really inevitable?

The Year is Cosmic Era 73, two years after the end of the war between Earth and the PLANTs. Peace had finally been achieved thanks to efforts put forth by both sides, but it was not meant to last. Najica Blitz Tactics follows the adventures of Najica Hiiragi, a female secret agent. During one mission, she rescues Leila, a young bioengineered cyborg who then becomes her partner. Together, they must battle evil forces in a series of breath-(and clothes) taking adventures to make the world safe for fan service.
Ouran High is a school for the extremely wealthy or, in Haruhi's case, the extremely talented. But no amount of talent will help when Haruhi accidentally drops an eight million yen vase in a music room. The vase was the property of Ouran High School Host Club, a group of attractive young men who, for a fee, provide their time and affections for their lovesick clientele: the female students. Fascinated by this strange new specimen, a poor and clumsy commoner, they force Haruhi to work for them until the debt is repaid; but they get a lot more than they bargained for...
This is a little bit of a strange recommendation but one thing these shows both excel at is character development. The way the characters backrounds are given to you makes these shows very entertaining.

Samurai X embodies the darker side of Cowboy Bebop, retaining that sense of sheer style, though in an admittedly much different setting. If you like your samurai anime dark, violent, and stylish, this OVA works great.
Saitou Yakumo is a young man with a very special gift: he can see the souls of the dead and communicate with them. When the aloof student isn’t duping his fellow classmates out of their money with fake card tricks, he takes on paranormal cases that pique his interest. Making use of his unique abilities, logical mind and his contacts within the police, Yakumo strives to solve each supernatural case he takes on and bring those responsible to justice. But when the youthful detective becomes the target of a sinister duo can he get to the bottom of their scheme before he is dragged into a world of darkness and hatred?
the main character and the girl in Yakumo are really simlar to Spike / Fay always arguing about whatever and yet they end up on more than good terms. The plot are also similar formula-wise in more than one way.
