Follow interstellar bounty hunters Spike Spiegel and Jet Black as they scour the galaxy for criminals with prices on their heads. Hoping to escape their past, they live on the spaceship Bebop, but it's a dangerous business and old enemies don't forget easily. Allies come from unlikely sources, however, as they find comrades in the beautiful swindler Faye Valentine, the genius child hacker Ed and the genetically engineered 'data dog' Ein. Will they be able to help each other though their respective struggles, or is their fate really inevitable?
The WWWA, or 3WA as it is affectionately known, is dedicated to one thing: The prosperity and well being of all the peoples of the Galactic League. The Dirty Pair are Kei and Yuri, the 3WA's top crime division female operatives with a 100% clean-up rate. The problem lies in the extreme collateral damage they cause to people and property in the single minded pursuit of their duty; including, if absolutely necessary, the wholesale destruction of cities, continents and even planets! No-one is safe, whether it be criminals, rogue robots, crazed computers and more likely, innocent bystanders!
Eisodic format, bounty hutners/"problem solvers" with a penchant for reckless behaviour and whose missions often end in destruction of some sort, lots of action of the gunslinger and martial arts variety and a sci-fi setting that features interplanetary travels. If these are things that interested you in either of these series I suggest that you check out the other.
For Niwa Daisuke, turning 14 should be accompanied by romance and the promise of new adventures into adulthood, but instead comes with a surprising revelation: all male children of the Niwa's bloodline inherit the powers (alter ego) of Dark, a phantom thief, upon their 14th birthday! Now, in addition to his ever-present quest to win the heart of his childhood friend Risa, Daisuke must commit acts of thievery (with his doppelganger Dark controlling his body), to steal mysterious pieces of art for unknown purposes. For Daisuke, his growing pains are just beginning!
In a city laced with crime, four individuals face their own personal trials. Mihai, a middle-aged hitman, seeks closure with an old student; Badou the information dealer learns a little too much; Naoto, an orphaned girl, lives for revenge against her parents' killer; and Heine, the result of underground genetic experiments, hopes to save another like him. Each must find the strength to overcome their dilemma and continue to live in this tough world...
Dogs:B&C and Cowboy Bebop are fun action-romps that feature style over substance. Also, the main characters from each are the cool/jaded older guy, the sexy badass chick, the hot guy with a mysterious past, and the red-headed comedic relief.
Looking for a change, Mikado moves from the countryside to bustling Ikebukuro to attend the same high school as his best friend, Masaomi. Though navigating a new school and friendships can prove tough by itself, Mikado also finds an overwhelming number of new delights and dangers in the district he now calls home. From a friendly Russian sushi bar to the violent color gangs, to even an urban legend in the form of a black motorcycle rider, each resident of Ikebukuro is unique and frightening. But the town is smaller than it seems at first, and these strange events appear to be connected. Will the growing storm sweep up the transplanted country boy and his friends or will Mikado find himself at the center of a dramatic change for Tokyo?
The storylines of Cowboy Bebop and Durarara!! have very little in common. To be fair, the only reason I recommend them to eachother at all, is because of the action scenes. Heavy epxlosions of jazz follow quick flowing action scenes throughout both series.
Ellis is a young girl who possesses a strange ability to manipulate particles, and has an unfortunate case of amnesia. After accidentally killing a professor in the middle of an experiment, Ellis fled to Mexico and lived under the care of an old lady for many years, but her past has finally caught up with her; there's a price on her head, and men trying to capture her, dead or alive. She meets the bounty hunter Nadie, who befriends her and helps her escape; and together, they decide to travel south to Winay Marka, “The Land of Eternity”, to find clues about Ellis’ past. What’s the origin of Ellis’ powers, and what does “Project Leviathan” have to do with it?
Remember what the first episode of Cowboy Bebop was like? Well, El Cazador is like the first episode of Bebop, but extended. So if you enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere of Cowboy Bebop's "Asteroid Blues", then you'll enjoy El Cazador de la Bruja.
