In the near future, the internet has evolved into ComNet, a virtual reality world where people can play to their hearts' content. However, a malicious computer known as Grosser is causing chaos in the realm, sending dastardly programs to wreak havoc. Young Yui was just a typical girl with a not-so-typical illiteracy with computers, until a program known as IR recruited her to become a Corrector and fight against Grosser's evil doings! Armed with elemental suits, Yui will traverse feudal Japan, a land of fairytales and a number of other virtual worlds in an attempt to find the other Corrector programs and foil Grosser's gang!
Kinomoto Sakura never imagined that by opening a book in her father's library, she'd be responsible for releasing wild magic into the world, yet that's exactly what she did. Too powerful to be let loose on the world, the magical Clow cards were sealed away long ago by their creator, Clow Reed. But all is not lost! For the guardian beast, Keroberos, was sealed along with the cards. Can Sakura, with the help of Keroberos, retrieve the cards before they wreak havoc on the town?
The protagonists are a little clumsy, but give the best to protect those around them. They have a yellow guardian that will support them (and will make you laugh sometimes). Also, the "romance" is very similar. Two girls have their "platonic love": an older guy who is sweet and takes care of them.
Corrector Yui is more futuristic, but both have the same magic that make you love all the characters!
I think Card Captor Sakura is very similar to Corrector Yui, because, they're both around charcters that want to help people and have a lot of costumes, and they both ask help to do it, i meaan , in ...Yui... she asks help from the other correctors, and in ...Sakura... she uses the cards.
In a magical part of the galaxy, the prince of the Tambourine star world has been betrothed to marry one of two princesses; but Comet, the princess of the Harmonica star world, couldn't care less. Thus, much to her dismay, when the prince flees to Earth to escape his fate, Comet is sent to find him and return. Now, with the power of the stars and a magical locket, Comet sets out on an adventure to find the prince, have fun, and experience the life of an earthling first hand!

One night, Madoka has a terrible nightmare – against the backdrop of a desolate landscape, she watches a magical girl battle a terrifying creature, and lose. The next day, the teen's dream becomes reality when the girl – Homura – arrives at Mitakihara High School as a transfer student, mysteriously warning Madoka to stay just the way she is. But when she and her best friend Miki are pulled into a twisted illusion world and meet a magical creature named Kyubey, the pair discovers that magical girls are real, and what's more, they can choose to become one. All they must do is sign a contract with Kyubey and agree to fight witches that spread despair to the human world, and in return they will be granted a single wish. However, as Homura's omen suggests, there's far more to becoming a magical girl than Madoka and Miki realize...
Both animes are about girls who fight for the safety of others without thinking in their own.
