What may seem comical at first appears to be a very good way to get some real knowledge into people. Instead of just receiting knowledge back at people it is using the format that people know and trust. The first 3 episodes were full of the fun and comedy I expect of a good comedic anime, but I ended up learning information I didn't realise. I even ended up having some insight into how the Japanese treat the illnesses I already know in the West. All the episodes have spoken to me in some way too. I'm not sure it could be longer, the length is designed for this format and could become exhausting if it was much longer. It would have to be toned back at which point it would lose it's appeal probably. There's no real story, it's an anime 'documentary' is probably the best way to describe it... no? There's banter between the hosts, which can carry through between episodes. What kind of plot do you need from this kind of show?

I didn’t find this funny at all. They kept trying to quick-fire sexual jokes. No intro to any characters. No plot. Just back and forth banter between two annoying hosts. I couldn’t even get past one episode (and these are extremely short episodes). 1/10

Sin-Ei Animation’s 2015 educational comedy is a hard one to classify. Spread over twenty short five-minute episodes it tries to cover the bases of human psychological disorders in a light-hearted and completely irreverent way. So irreverent in fact that it is hard to glean much educational value from it at all. Whilst it is easy to poke fun at erectile dysfunction, sleep disorders and panic attacks the show is just an endless set of puerile gags. What is certain is that such a show would not have covered quite the same topics any other place in the world but Japan. Nowhere in the world does anyone find the topic of paedophilia or fetishism quite so funny. Several topics get worked over quite a bit and most are orientated around sexual disorders. The format of the show is set in a Clinic where the good Dr Ryo tries to explain each condition aided by his growing bevy of over-sexualised nurses. Remarkably the show was written by actual psychiatrist Yu Yuki. The original manga was serialised on his own Mental Health Clinic’s web site. Quite how this didn’t ruin his reputation for professionalism is hard to imagine. The whole thing is nuts but relatively painless. Its problem is that it is just pretty dumb as it is unable to find any subtle (or non-trivial) way to deal with sensitive topics. It seems to belittle the entire concept of mental disease by being amazingly silly. Somehow it is so very, very Japanese.
