When Natsuki Andou jokingly said the only school club she’d join is the "Going Home Club", she had no idea it was actually real! Having now accidentally become a member, the girl soon discovers that the Going Home Club is anything but typical: they pass the time having as much fun as possible outside of the classroom, whether it’s feeding pigeons, going to a crepe stand, or even using martial arts moves to open bottles! Alongside fellow students Karin, Sakura, Claire and Botan, Natsuki will learn just how fun a school club can be.
Yui, Yukari and Yuzuko have just entered high school, eager to have a great time. They quickly become the sole members of the Data Processing Club, using the computers frequently to look up information and find interesting videos. Whether they're debating the merits of sauce on curry bread, trying to determine how some women manage to have huge breasts or dealing with the sweltering heat, these three friends will also manage to have fun in the process.
Both shows are slice of life comedies that follow a group of high school girls and their school clubs, clubs that don't really have much to do with anything.
The comedy can be similar at times, but Yuyushiki is a much better show in every regard.
Both are slice of life, episodic, and kawaii. Yuyushiki is more "normal" while GH-bu is more silly and crazy-people with straight-man humor. Short version: WATCH BOTH NAO DARNIT.
If all the girls were boys and the humour was more focussed on ordinary interactions rather than being somewhat dubious in notablility. Neither series sports normal characters and both series are basically people hanging out with each other and stuff happens
Kamizono Academy is so spacious that transfer student Ayumi Nonomura and long time resident Tatsuki Iizuka find themselves lost together in the corridors. With the addition of fiery Torako Kageyama and quirky, somber Suzume Saotome, the four quickly become friends and comrades in arms against boredom. Whether it's being a last minute Morals Officer with bisexual Nene or constructing robots with Kageyama, there's plenty of fun to go around at Kamizono Academy!
There are many anime out there featuring a very zany all female cast doing crazy things in the most random of ways with little to no plot and these titles are no exception. Chronicles and Hyakko often fall through the cracks when compared to better known productions but they both follow a well tailored formula with quite enjoyable results. Fans of the genre will probably find both to be a fun ride.
It's the first day of middle school for Akari, and the enthusiastic girl is determined to reinvent her personality and have tons of fun in the process. Along with her friends, mischievous Kyouko, serious Yui, and adorable Chinatsu, the girl joins the Amusement Club, a group for students who just want to hang out and joke around! Over the year, the girls befriend upperclassmen, impersonate their favorite magical girl characters, and develop crushes... sometimes even on each other!
These anime are essential the same, comedies about a crazy school club that does nothing but random things courtesy of a colorful and highly spastic cast of girls. Yuru Yuri has a lot lesbian undertones to the point it's a recurring theme while Chronicles is more standard parody but they are so akin one could almost call them variations of the same theme.
