In a post-apocalyptic world overrun with great beasts called Filth Monsters, a glimmering dome protrudes from the wasteland. This is Zuellni, a mobile city unique for having a consciousness in the form of ‘electronic fairies’. Moreover, Zuellni is an academy where the next generation of powerful Heavens-Blade wielders gather to pit their strength against each other in inter-platoon competitions. Nina Antalk, military student and leader of the 17th Platoon, is intent on recruiting only the best; thus, when mysterious Layfon Alseif transfers to the academy, she instantly recognizes his abilities and decides he’s the perfect candidate to join her group. However, with a secret past that won’t leave him alone, and unknown powers beyond the academy taking an interest in Zuellni, Layfon joining the team is only the start of all their troubles.
In the early 21st century, certain people are exhibiting signs of B-cell growth, a condition that is incurable. Yuji is one of these, who chooses to become a "Sleeper" -- a person who is put into stasis until a cure can be found. The tranquillity of Yuji's sleep is interrupted 15 years in the future, in a very different world. Giant bugs known as Blue have invaded the Earth, eating its resources, and.. human beings. Now all Yuji can do is escape through the city with the ones who saved him from his inevitable death, towards Second Earth... mankind's new home in space.
Chrome Shelled Regios and Blue Gender share next to no similarities, besides the fact that they are essentially soldiers fighting giant mutant insect monsters.
Both include conflict around groups of predominently young people. Both have main male characters overcoming unfortunate pasts in an other-worldly scenario with monster creatures that feed on people. Chrome shelled has a bit nicer animation and has a few similarities to eureka seven as well.
Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!
Both of these animes have made my blood boil with excitement. From the very start of each I could not stop watching. Though I wouldn't say there is nothing drastically similar in the plots besides usual love etc. but the way both are made is just astounding. I have rewatched both animes countless times and will continue to. They have definitely made an impression on me.
I love Chrome Shelled Regios and Just watched Busou Renkin due to a recommendation. They Both have great characters that you tend to fall in love with, and main characters that you cant help but pull for. Chrome has alot to due with the characters pasts and how they are dealing with it in the preesnt while trying to survive, and Busou is a character that gets pulled out of the simple world and trusted into a world of alcemy( which is what saves his life). They both sound differnt, but the main character in each wants nothing more that to survive and protect everyone at all cost. If you liked one I really think you would like the other.
Gonzo does it again with this action-packed mecha comedy. She's an ordinary high school girl. He's a counterterror agent assigned to protect her from those who would steal the information locked in her mind. OK, so she's not so normal after all. Armored Slave battles and lovers' spats abound as Sousuke and his comrades try to track down the mysterious Gauln before it's too late.
Both of these anime's are superb. The characters and plot are engaging. They have similar characters. Sousuke/Layfon, Nina/Mao, Tessa/Felli, Kurtz/Sharnid.
Also, they are similar in the fact that they are teens involved in a military organization that protects the world/city
the main characters are really similar plus theres the whole military thing, all and all both are really good and you can really see the characters grow throughout the series
Akuto Sai enters the Constant Academy for Magick Arts hoping to become a high priest and change the world for the better. But when the school's oracle declares his future profession to be 'Demon Lord', he finds himself feared and hated by the entire student population. Now, instead of making comrades and studying for his exam, Akuto finds himself fighting off monsters, bullies, and well-meaning classmates in various states of undress. If navigating a magical high school as a transfer student wasn't difficult enough, Akuto now has to deal with a cute android ordered to observe him 24-hours a day, the precocious attention of the flying, invisible and naked Keena Soga and the advances of the school's most popular girl. Will he be able to overcome his fate, pass his classes, and mend his friendship with the violent Junko Hattori, or will he succumb to his demonic destiny?
These 2 series have similiar main cast of characters and feature a sci-fi/fantasy type setting with guns, swords, and magic.
Both got a strong male lead trying to change his role in life.
Both got a silly deadpan girl hanging around the lead guy.
Both got a feisty female with a strong sense of justice
Both got a mysterious childhood female friend.
Chrome Shelled Regios is more drama and action orientated while Ichiban is more comedy and ecchi.
Both Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou and Chrome Shelled Regios have an overpowered main character. Ichiban takes the harem more strongly, but both animes have definite comedic scenes. However, they're quite different otherwise.
You will enjoy one if you enjoyed the other!
While Chrome Shelled Regios is post-apocolyptic setting with martial arts, Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari is more medieval with mecha/harem.
Chrome Shelled Regios and Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari both may have different feel to them, but the main protaganist in both are alike in many ways
1. have a "destiny" to fufill
2. are one-man army with multiple skills
3. center of love interest but they are either are slow or do not want the affection
4. involved in a faction (cities/kingdoms)
5. involved in special academies
Both were forced to leave their homeland. Both were forced to fight initially although reluctantly. Both are a one man army. Both have supurb survival instincts.
