A robot learning new things, a guy that looks at that robot like a human being, there are several similarities between these. But most of all there is that suggestion of romance between these two and a mysterious feeling behind that robot which is slowly uncovered.

To Love-Ru

Rito Yuki is a bumbling boy who wants nothing more than to confess his love to the lovely Haruna, but a variety of obstacles always seems to stand in his way. She is the princess of Planet Deviluke, and she has run away from home to escape the prospect of an arranged marriage; and unfortunately for Rito, his accidental groping is the traditional engagement ritual of his otherworldly guest! Deviluke's emperor will destroy Earth if Rito backs down from his "proposal," but all he really wants to do is be with Saruyama! Should I just say, "Trust me! Watching the other is also good!"... Just kidding. Both have the same feel. The comedy and romance are similar (although you won't find harem in Chobits).

Tsubasa Chronicle

Chii from Chobits has made an appearance in Tsubasa Chronicle before and vice versa.

Chobits was about the future in technology, but when you're jumping between realities in Tsubasa Chronicle you come across many different worlds with advanced technology and poor worlds which rely on magic.

I would recommend this series for those reasons mentioned above.

Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight

Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.

In both of these series we have a perverted young man trying to make sense of the world and the lot they have been given in life. Both anti-heros begin with very few ties to other people, but as the series' progress the groups they run in grow and grow... becoming more and more like family. If you are into the whole family and finding love idea then either of these series will do well for you ^^. However they do both carry substantial ecchi undertones as I stated that the heroes are both quite perverted... or at least they always have a tendencey to come off as such hehe. I'm not suggesting these as a pair for the common reasons, like they are both kind of magical girl, or romance(although they kind of are both romance), or any other similar genre... but the fact that they both deal with an ever growing "family" and the love that binds them all together is my main reason for paring them.
