In the year 20XX, insects have developed immunity to every kind of insect spray. To counter the incredible rise in insect numbers the Japanese government developed tiny extermination robots code named "Hoihoi-san". The popularity of Hoihoi-san units rises not only as a night time extermination unit, but for doll collectors as well! However, when a rival company introduces its own tiny extermination robots a new form of corporate sabotage begins, as they target not only the insects, but all Hoihoi-san units themselves!
Cencoroll and Hoihoi-san are short and weird. But weird in a really cute way. A cute violent way. I'm not really sure how else to describe either of these, but check the other out if you liked one.
Natsume is lonely; he has an ability that separates him from others: he can see and interact with spirits. Soon, however, Natsume discovers that he’s not alone: his grandmother Reiko also had the gift. But things get hectic and possibly dangerous for Natsume when he finds out that he also inherited the 'Book of Friends', a book that contains the names of all the spirits Reiko defeated and subjugated. He finds himself hounded by his grandmother's underlings and, with the help of a 'cat' charm spirit, decides to free them from the Book's shackles, as well as protect the book from those who seek to misuse its power...
Both Natsume Yuujinchou and Cencoroll feature quiet, almost lethargic, protagonists that make the supernatural even more exciting because of their laissez faire attitudes. However, both Tetsu and Natsume both are extremely close with their paranormal friends and go to great lengths to protect them. I guareentee if you love one then you'll love the other. I just wish Cencoroll was more than one episode. However, I patiently wait for the next. Natsume Yujinchou is currently on it's fourth season.
One thousand years after the Giant Warriors caused an apocalyptic event known as the seven days of fire, humans are living in constant fear of the Toxic Jungle. This ever-spreading forest is filled with poisonous plants and gigantic monstrous insects; even the very air is deadly. Nausicaa is the kind and wise princess of a small, peaceful country known as the Valley of the Wind, which has so far avoided the spread of the forest. One night a large airship containing one of the Giant Warriors crashes into the valley. The following day soldiers from the powerful nation of Tolmekia invade the Valley of the Wind to reclaim and revive the warrior. As the only one who truly believes that there is a way for humans to live alongside the insects, Nausicaa must find a way to stop the war that now threatens her people and protect the Toxic Jungle before the Tolmekians burn it to the ground.
both animes include dangerous monsters and creatures. The main charector is a female and is infact a natural with befreinding the monsters. Great animation and charector development... Be sure to watch the other If you watched one!
In Japan, a team of scientists have created a medical breakthrough: a device that allows the wearer to enter the dreams of a patient, for the purpose of healing. The talented Paprika is a master at her profession, but complications have now appeared in the form of a “dream terrorist” – an unknown foe who inserts nightmares into the minds of those who use the device. The victims are swept up in a ghoulish parade of dolls, kitchen appliances, and musical animals, and are reduced to a vegetable state – or worse. Now, Paprika and the team of scientists must delve into the minds of those affected to figure out the source of the tampering before more people, including themselves, are damaged beyond repair.
With inspired electronic music and strange, shifting, bizarre things forming over Tokyo and fights that may or may not make sense somewhere along the line, Paprika and Cencoroll deliver. This is about all Cencoroll delivers, aside from some fairly naturalistic depictions of teens, while Paprika engages in a whole range of eccentric oddness - nevertheless, these works rather compliment each other.
