During the day, the three Katsugi sisters are the proud owners of the Cat's Eyes Café; but at night, Hitomi, Rui and Ai become the most wanted thieves in town! After sending a preliminary business card to the police, warning them of what they play to swipe next, the girls rob the most precious pieces of art from well-guarded museums and secured private collections. The sisters, however, do not steal for money; everything they steal belonged to their father. By collecting his items, the girls are hoping to find clues that will help explain his vanishing in 1945. However, on the other hand, the clumsy Inspector Toshio Utsumi is on a mission to stop the Katsugi sisters; what he didn’t plan for was the fact that that his fiancée is one of them...
Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makumura are private detectives who make up the City Hunter team -- problem solvers who can be hired by writing 'xyz' in a certain train station. Ryo's uncanny accuracy with a gun is surpassed only by his lecherous tendencies, while Kaori provides the sideline support -- usually in the form of a 50,000 kg mallet to keep Ryo's ecchiness under control!
City Hunter and Cat's Eye have very similar ambiances and graphical styles. Both feature a good dose of humor and cool action situations, are based on similar ways of building up the tension, and make you wonder each time how the characters are going to set themselves free of the booby traps they step into.
Both have similar styles, are from the same manga artist ad even feature a cross over episode. They are also both reliant on comedic situations and are episodic so you can view them both out of sequence and still enjoy the show.
Arsene Lupin the Third is the world’s most notorious thief, a master of disguise and an unashamed ladies man! Working alongside his partner-in-crime Jigen, the carefree Lupin, shoots, steals and flirts his way across the world while avoiding his ever-persistent nemesis, Inspector Zenigata. Whether he is trying to win a Grand Prix race, defeat an invincible magician or steal a set of precious playing cards from a millionaire, nothing is impossible for the great Lupin the Third.
Cat's Eye and Lupin both deal with a popular thief. Try to watch these and you'll surely enjoy them!
Both have involve a group of thiefs trying to steal something rare. But what makes it better is that whenever they are stealing something,comedy comes in and gives the viewer a good laugh.
Meimi Haneoka is a typical girl with a not-so-typical double life: by day she attends St. Paulia School, and by night she transforms into the phantom thief Saint Tail! Stealing only items that deserve to be stolen, Meimi takes her orders from the nun in training Seira Mimori. But even with the best of intentions, Meimi can't help but have a few enemies; her classmate, Asuka Jr., would love nothing more than to unmask Saint Tail's identity. However, Meimi can't help but be intrigued by her dashing opponent. Thievery galore and young love await the magical Saint Tail!
Saint Tail has a similar thieving theme, is episodic - so one is able to catch it sparingly, much like Cat's Eye. The heroine in both is also romantically involved with the detective trying to catch them.

She led a lonely life and was burned at the stake, despite being the voice to lead France to victory in the Hundred Years War. In today's world, she is reincarnated as Maron Kusakabe, a girl whose mission is to prevent demons from stealing people's hearts. To do this, she must steal any artifact that they possess. Her best friend, Miyako, is a detective looking for the thief, without a clue that she's right under her nose. Will Maron be able to save the world from destruction, or will she be caught red-handed by her friend?
Cat's Eye & Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne
Both animes are about thieves who steal special things - but that's all. (Actually... Jeanne is more like Sailor Moon). But people who would like to see a story about stealing things for special reason could like both animes.
