Though quite different in setting and genre, Trigun and Bakuretsu Tenshi have a few important themes in common. The feel of the old west. The hero(ine) that won't let anything stop them from their goal, who's willing to face impossible odds to finish what they started. A team of good hearted people willing to put up a fight, and an ending you might not have expected.

What i found very enjoyable in Bakuretsu Tenshi and in Read Or Die was the teamwork they did at times. Though they are both up for hire, the story isn't all that alike. But if you liked the way they stick together and pull off some teamwork that's enjoyable to watch, both R.O.D. and Bakuretsi Tenshi are yours to watch.

The animation in both FFVII and Bakuretsu Tenshi is quite similar. Both have nice fighting scenes which seem to have their origin in 3D animation rather than "simple" hand-drawn art. Along with these computer-animated scenes comes a decent plot that doesn't run too deep. These two feel very similar to each other.

Working together as a group, the characters in Outlaw Star and Burst Angel manage to get through all sorts of situations. Both start out very episodic and gain more of a story as they continue. There's a bit of gunslinger action and some mecha in both, though Outlaw Star includes some magic as well. The main characters are also very similar.
