When AI go amuck in future societies, nothing is better, than a team specially designed to stop them.

The AI in Bubblegum are Robots that look human, that are made for service. The AI in eXDriver are cars that shuttle people around without having to actually pilot in any way.

Bubblegum Crisis is a bit more serious tone, and the future is farther off than EX. Crisis is also more a mecha action story, but both are OAV's and shorter in length than a TV counterpart.

So if you like a team vs machine you might enjoy one if you like the other.

Both series are set in a futuristic world where criminals, terrorists, and other threats to society run rampant. In each series there is a small group of people who use heavy combat machines to take down these bad guys & bring a little peace & justice back into the world. In both cases, much of the strife seems to be centered around a large corporation. Above all of that, these 2 animes simply "feel" very much alike.

AD Police Files

Love hard core Mecha action with a juicy futuristic story, then you'll enjoy either one of these anime, despite the fact that Bubblegum Crisis is the official sequel to A.D. Police Files. It's not a continuation by no means but still falls along the same principals of hard police work, in a futuristic setting. So if you're looking for a great place to start you Neo Tokyo fix, you'll most certainly want to watch either of these.

Let's say there was one sole Knight Saber in Bubblegum Crisis and her name was, Iria. Both are fun sci-fi's with females that kick ass basically, they don't offer incredibly mindblowing plots, drama, aren't very deep or complex, or whatnot, but the quality is there along with great production values for their time with excellent action and sci-fi settings/designs. All around classic sci-fi.

Both are sci-fi stories with androids as the main focus.  In Bubblegum, they are the "enemy", while in Humanoid, the android is on the "good side."  Ultimately, both try to puzzle out the difference between man and machine, and whether or not machines are capable of being "human".  Aesthically, both have similar animation styles, and hokey '80s music, including action sequences paired with romantic songs.
