Just one reason: more Konaka goodness°°°/!

A tad more seriously and thoroughly: if you enjoyed this show, it is quite likely that you were enthralled by its intriguing, deep and stimulating script, so give this other show a try, as we are talking about the same scripter here!

Can the same scripter be a sufficient element to favour any show?

Imho, yes. At least if it's about some big shot like Konaka or few others that we are talking about.

Such a capable artist doesn't limit his part to providing a top-notch script: his genius pervades the whole work and other elements like the soundtrack, the fluidity of animation and even the directing become merely instrumental in conveying deeper meanings.

RahXephon: The Motion Picture

RahXephon: The Motion Picture

Kamina Ayato may seem like an average boy in a devastated world, but after being captured in order to save the world from the Mu, an alien race set on "tuning" the world, he realizes he is an instrument in deciding the fate of humanity and piloting RahXephon. Not only is Ayato the only person who can control the mecha, but he also has a terrible fate of his own. Holding onto memories of a past love and grasping to keep his own humanity, he must struggle in this new world and realize his true potential. The RX movie is a condensed version of the TV series.

Burst Angel also occurs in a near-future Japan where technological advances have caused people to question the nature of humanity.

In addition, there is a similar dynamic at work within the teams of both series. Jo and Priss are recognizable enforcers, Sei and Sylia perform the same role of mother/leader, and Amy and Nene are both wiz-kid hackers.

Finally, Burst Angel also examines whether a created life can transcend its original purpose.

Silent Mobius

Silent Mobius

It is the year 2023, 30 years since the time of the Silent Crisis that brought the world to the brink of destruction. In the present, other-dimensional beings known as the Lucifer Hawk are running rampant, and threaten to take over the human world. With the frequency of attacks increasing and the bodies piling up, it's up to Katsumi Liqeuer and the rest of the gang to stop the invading threat... before it's too late.

Both anime is set in the not so distant future in a technologically advanced city which having recovered from a post-apocalyptic event are under constant attack from invaders as in Silent Mobius and androids in Bubblegum Crisis. Both feature an all female combat/police team trying to protect this city from that threat and effect it has on them and the onces they care about. Theres also similarities such as in some of the characters, sound/music, retro animation style and more. If you like one I'm pretty sure you will like the other.
