Both series are battle shounen titles pure and true. Both have casts of quirky characters. While Brave10 actually takes itself serious and has a seemingly deeper world both series still are typical shounen only on the other side of comedy. That said Brave10 will appeal far more to the bishounen appreciator while Mushibugyou is blatantly crafter to be only interesting to shounen lovers. Both series however feature fanservice using the female characters they have. Coincidentally in the end both have 2 recurring females.

This is similar to Brave 10 because it both has the herione has special powers...Well all of them do. But, it's also a reverse harem anime and it sort of has romance in it. Anyways, both stories have the ying-yang and elements in it. Though in Angelique ~When the Heart Awakens~, there are eight elements instead of ten. Either way, it's a really good anime to watch and you should also watch the other ones with the title "Angelique" like the Neo Angelique Abyss... {(In this case, It'd be my own opinion, but it is worth a shot to watch it!! [HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY!!! <(>.<)>]}

Just as the two vow to reconcile the clans with their marriage, the shogun orders the feud to resume in order to resolve an internal struggle that threatens to tear the Tokugawa shogunate apart. Even worse, Oboro and Gennosuke themselves are forced to lead their clans in battle. Can the star-crossed lovers resist the brutal circumstances and remain true to their love as the death toll rises?

i would compare this best to basilisk because it's in the same era, during the reign of Ieyasu Tokugawa and both involve the Koga and Iga ninjas. although Brave10 is not based on the ninja scrolls as far as I know.

Brave10 has a simpler storyline but if you like one you would definitely like the other.

Both animes incorporate searching for other individuals to complete some sort of group. Hakkenden has 8, Brave10, you guessed it, 10. Basically, they remind me of searching for the 108 stars of destiny like in the old Suikoden video games-- which are some of my favorite video games. So if you enjoyed one, you're likely to enjoy the other. Any other animes out there like these two that have the protagonist searching for/stumbling upon other people who have something in common that ultimately is meaningful to the story out there?
