One day, on her way home from school, she witnesses a boy murdering several people with bright blue flames. That boy is Rei Ogami, a merciless assassin known as a "Code Breaker", and the latest student to join Sakura’s class! With everyone oblivious to his true nature, only Sakura knows what he really is and his remorseless feelings towards what he does. But despite his icy heart and his threat to burn Sakura and everyone around her should she reveal his secret, the righteous teen can’t help but feel that there’s more to Rei than meets the eye...

as for my opinion, these two anime are semi relatedly because of using Ao Flames as their main power, and these flames are used in their enemies.

If you're looking for a good supernatural fix, both of these series have that element.  However unlike some other paranormal series, these two are both fast paced, set in the present time.

Many stories start with a person. They have a life , sometimes a job, a family, friends and the like. Then they have that taken away and that person becomes a monster leaving the character to question what makes them human. the character then asks themselves. What am I, who am I.These questions are horrifying because even a normal person when confronted with them may not know. H.P. Lovecraft discribed horror as somthing that when gazed upon could not be explained and the emotion of his characters portray the horror in what they see. But when a character is forced to ask What am I. rather then what is that, well what is the terror that character feels. both of these shows have characters who ask these questions of themselves. Now ask what is it to be human?

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

The foundation of alchemy is based on the law of equivalent exchange; you cannot produce something from nothing. As such, alchemy is bound by one taboo - human transmutation. Four years ago two young brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, broke this taboo when they tried to resurrect their dead mother. During the process Al's body disintegrated and Ed lost his leg. In a desperate attempt to prevent his brother from disappearing completely, Ed sacrificed one of his arms so he could affix Al's soul to a suit of armor. When his missing limbs are replaced by auto mail parts, Ed bears the name of the Fullmetal Alchemist - the youngest ever State Alchemist and dog of the military. Now, alongside his brother, Ed uses his status within the military to attempt to find any way that he can return their bodies back to their original state.

Both are centered around the bond between brothers and have some kick ass animation. Also, there is lots of action, alchemy/power, battles, friendships formed, etc. (I will say that FMAB is better than BE, but it is tough to beat FMAB.)

Kagura and Yomi are two girls who have a bond that cannot be broken. Yet to understand the present, one must first experience the past – a time before Kagura’s involvement with the Supernatural Disaster Prevention Agency. Always cheery and good-natured to a fault, the young Kagura first meets Yomi when she is invited into her home. Over time, the two battle malicious spirits and grow closer together – but soon, more terrifying foes begin to reveal themselves. A swarm of glowing blue butterflies and a mysterious stone are harbingers of darker things to come, and one thing’s for sure: Kagura and Yomi will never be the same.
