If you liked Bleach more for the blood and action moments and not so much the down time, then Elfien Lied is a nice short but robust anime. It's as if the action never stops and there is plenty of gore.
The mix of action and comedy is great in both Elfen Lied and Bleach. The plots are well-formed, and the characters are unsure. Each kept me interested, which is hard to do given that I don't have the attention span to watch TV.

If you enjoyed Bleach and are looking for some more low-plot high-action shounen, I would definitely recommend Kiba to you. Bleach fans will also find similarities between the characters of Zed of Kiba and Ichigo of Bleach.
I think both have good intense plots that suit and complament the amount of action in both shows.
