Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
Similar premise about defeating wayward spirits using badass weapons. Also, the element of splitting a soul from a body is present in both.
On top of this, the different 'teams' of gods or shinigamis are very reminiscent of each other.
Both shows revolve "gods" of sorts. Ichigo and Yato in particular both start off killing Hollows/phantoms, supernatural beings of the dead that plague the living world. Both shows also involve the characters using swords/weapons that house souls within them as well.
Bleach and Noragami also both balance their comedic and serious moments that lets their shows feel down to earth despite the supernatural premises.
I was looking forward to see an Anime to look like Bleach. Bleach is more intense, has a lot more characters and all of them are extremply well developed, each has its own story, past, and interracts with the others in a way that is ment to change the present and the future. Relationships are more complicated, feelings are more intense. Noragami has only the cherry top. The suspans grows even more, but you can't get as connected to the characters as you get in Bleach. You have spirits, phantoms are similar to the hollows, the "shiki"s are like "zampakuto"s, and is either a God or a Shinigami (Death God) that is fighting to cleanse a city.
Being the insignificant heir to a talented family is rough, especially for someone who has little of his own talents and honestly desires to live up to the family name. Masahiro is the young grandson of the famed Abe no Seime. Although most consider him to be little in the face of his older male relatives, Masahiro is certain he can not only continue the family legacy but that he can stand in his own right as an Onmyouji. With the assistance of his friend Mokkun, he works to increase his skills and abilities as a spiritual protector and guide. With a great deal of will and the quiet assistance of his insightful grandfather, he will become a force of good in the battle against encroaching evil.
If you liked Bleach, you'd like Shounen Onmyouji because both are stories of teenagers who have to balance their day-to-day life with their job destroying evil. Both are good shounen action anime that will draw you in whether you like it or not.
I totally agree with what is said above and, they both have deamons, and as one who has watched bleach and loved it I also love this anime and believe you will too
“Vash, the Stampede” - worth 60 billion dollars to the one who can turn him in. Bounty hunters everywhere are on the lookout for this legendary gunman, not to mention insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who are tasked with preventing any potential damage that this Vash can cause. But with 60 billion on his head, Vash is not an easy man to find.
Both Trigun and Bleach have strong characters, action, and stories that have episodes that keep you coming back for more. If you like action anime with a great story and humor, these are two shows for you.
Although Trigun is more of a "wild west" anime than Bleach, any one looking for a funny shorter series filled with action and adventure will surely enjoy Trigun.
For 1800 years the seven schools of Kantou have fought over supremacy of the land. Their students constantly fight each other in battles to prove their strength. Sonsaku Hakufu is a 17 year old girl that just transferred to Nanyou Academy, and at her arrival, finds herself fighting one of its top 4 fighters. But Sonsaku possesses a soulstone which contains the spirit of a great fighter, and she is not an easy match. When an order is issued to defeat Sonsaku, she finds herself in all out war against all of the schools top fighters. What lies behind this dark conspiracy?
Both Ikkitousen and Bleach have strong characters, action, and stories that have episodes that keep you coming back for more. If you like action anime with a great story and humor, these are two shows for you.
These two are very wonderful anime, with alot fighting and intersting storylines. The main characters are always risking their lives for friends and family. Also, if you like this anime which is about spirits than you'll definitely like Ikkitousen
Beneath Tokyo lies a city whose inhabitants have inherited a natural ability to control the elements. After a civil uprising, two girls surface from the sub-terra in a bid to escape from this secret world. Together, Chelsea and Ruri stumble upon Asagi Rumina, a man who becomes determined to protect them from those who would pursue the maiden of life. After a close encounter with death, Rumina learns that he must develop a skill of his own to keep his newfound friends safe, especially as it seems to be his responsibility to stop the impending doom rising to take over the planet’s surface. Will his power of wind be enough to take on The Company, or will he be forced to kneel before those brandishing electricity, ice and shadow?
Both Tokyo Underground and Bleach are about the intrusion of a secret world into the life of an ordinary high school student - a student who also gains a new and rather unique and powerful ability. Also, both Ichigo and Rumina are known for being excellent fighters and can be hot-headed at times; they tend to act on impulse and in the aid of a female, who is mainly the heroine of the story.
Bleach and Tokyo Underground share similar plotlines, characters and protagonists.
Ichigo (Bleach) and Rumina (Tokyo Underground), both have a fighting reputation around their school and they are both down right stubborn. Which helps them when they need to rescue the main female protagonist from the clutches of Soul Society (Bleach) and The Company(Tokyo Underground).
The layout of the battles are really quite similar, as they both fight to protect their friends. The comedy and humour is pretty much the same as well!
I would recommend Tokyo Underground to Bleach fans and Bleach to Tokyo Underground fans ^.^
