Sakai Yuuji thought he was a normal high school student, until one fateful day when time stopped. Watching in horror, he witnesses a monster devouring the "frozen" people around him; but luckily for Yuuji, he is saved by a sword-wielding red-headed girl that calls herself a "Flame Haze". The girl informs him that he has been dead for some time now and that his current self is merely a replacement for the human that he used be while alive. He is, she says, merely a torch whose life will come to an end when the blue flame in his chest ceases to burn. After this rude awakening, Yuuji realizes that he is able to see the flames of life in other "torches"; and after discovering that a friend of his is also a torch -- and her life is burning out faster than his – he gains the courage to live out the rest of his life with meaning. Will Yuuji be able to find his place in the world before he ceases to exist?
In both Bleach and Shana, the main characters use a sword, can change into a human and a shinigami, and must kill monster-like creatures.
In both series the charaters are trying to keep the balance between the worlds. There is a lot of swordfighting in both as well as problems on their paths. The plot is similar as well.
Both Main Characters use swords and use their powers to defeat enemies that the world isn't aware of
Plus they have great chracters and good action scenes
If you like Bleach you will like Shakugan no Shana and visa versa
Both Shakugan no Shana and Bleach are extremely similar in many ways. Let's look at the plot:
Guy living normal life sans 1 parent, mysterious cute short girl wearing black cloak and samurai sword show up, girl destroys huge soul-eating monster in bizzare different plane of reality, after battle, girl refers to guy as subhuman, guy is later revealed to have bizarre powers on par with girl, girl decides to live in human world in guy's house.
Do you see how similar they are?
Both revolve around a male lead who is attacked by monsters only to be saved by a mysterious katana-wielding girl imbued with superhuman powers. These girls are part of larger organizations that fight a battle against equally powerful evil characters that the regular world isn't aware of
Stylistically these two series are very similar combat-wise. Both of the main characters are Shinigami figures, and both fight battles that are not seen by others. In Bleach, normal people cannot see the Shinigami and cannot see the battles going on around them; in Shakugan no Shana, a spell is cast to freeze time in areas where the battles occur.
Also, Shana fights very similar to Ichigo when he is in Bankai mode. She also wears a black coat just like Ichigo, and like Ichigo she uses a thin katana with an emphasis on speed.
If you like the fighting styles of either of the two main characters you should give the other series a shot.
Sure the females are cute and that they can kick ass when they need to, but while Shakugan no Shana's main male Yuuji is pretty much useless in the front lines, Ichigo of Bleach is anything but. But don't let that get you down, as they're both packed with action against monsters and otherworldy creatures bent on destruction. The fight for good and justice lives on with a nice dosage of comedy as a breather to the combat.
Both animes have great character development with amazing sword fighting with katanas. The hollows in bleach are like the tomogaras in shakugan no shana. Both have dramatic scenes, while shakugan has an interesting love story. In bleach Ichigo finds out about his unusual abilities and same with Yuji in shakugan.
The time has come for the next Shaman King to be crowned in the great Shaman Fight. Yoh Asakura is one such hopeful, a kind-hearted boy with a hidden power... and a terrible secret. Now, the fate of all mankinds rests in the hands of Yoh and his companions as they must battle the most powerful shaman who ever lived!
When I watched Bleach, I immediately thought of Shaman King. Shaman King was the anime that got me into anime. The two of them both have ghosts and I think that is what originally got me to link the two. But Yoh and Ichigo both have this strong passion to protect their friends. Both anime have an incredibly interesting story line, and although Shaman King (the anime) is shorter than Bleach it is still a good one to watch.
Both of the series are about spiritual power and spirits/ghosts. They both have a theme of saving those who are normal, unlike themselves. Battles are present in both.
These anime are undeniably similar. Although Shaman King is more lighthearted than Bleach as a whole they are both packed full of spirits/ghosts, comedy and action/fighting. There is also the usual issues of romance thrown in but they are both rather small references and are not all that focused upon. (This goes for Bleaach more than Shaman King which has a bit more).
Anyway, if you liked one then you will almost certainly like the other.
Shaman King and Bleach are both Epic tales of a young man discovering his inherent strength.
Further, the trust in friends, component is present, ie: Both Ichigo and Yoh have to rely on their friends and companions in their adventures.
The overall feel of the two series are quite similar and I believe they are worth a try for most people.
Kick-ass spirit fighting is central to both Bleach and Shaman King, and will appeal to the same shounen fan. With plenty of character development, insane enemies and unlimited power-up moves, both shows are the perfect recommendations for each other.
Both Very fantasy like. You should definitely watch both if You have not already. The characters are cool and they have motivation to train and fight.
If you like cool and grand weapon transformation(s) and attacks that'd make you stand up on your seat while watching, then Shaman King and Bleach offer that, minus the lots of chitchat. Both anime titles will take you a trip to how Spiritual Battles are done.
Lucy is a seventeen-year-old mage with the power to summon stellar spirits, but what she really wants to do is join a guild - and not just any guild. She has her eyes set on Fairy Tail, a notoriously reckless and outrageous group of magic users who are likely to be drunk or destroying buildings and towns in the process of completing a job! While in town one day Lucy meets a perpetually-seasick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he's none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu's archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Erza, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. After all, destroying a city or five doesn't matter as long as they get the job done... right?!
Both are very interesting storys. They are also both a mix of comedy and action. They both have a main character and several other important characters that are always jumping in and helping out.
If you enjoy Bleach or Fairy Tail then you'd enjoy the other because they are both fighting style anime. Both anime follows characters that have specific abilities. It can become a hobby attempting to keep up with all the characters powers and abilities. As the story progresses, the characters fight strong enemies and learn new abilities.
Both anime's are about the main character who wants to complete his goal and has its own kind of way of making it. During that journey he makes new friends who will help to reach this goal. Also both anime's include good fighting scene's.
Bleach and Fairy tail have their own charming characters, in this case Ichigo and Natsu (and maybe more, this is an example), they're both stuborn like Hell, they NEVER give up and they would do anithing for their friends,....but this is just one of the good things that these animes have...
Both of these animes focuse on comedy, friendship (as I mentioned earlier),also in both of these anime they this I-beat-the-crap-out-of-you-once-and-now-we're-friends thing that can really captivate someone.
So if you like one go for the other, you'll find them both awesome, I'm sure!
Both are shonen anime series with a main character who is really stubborn, strong, and gains power from his desire to protect his friends. Epic fight scenes in both. Fairy Tail is a bit more comedic than Bleach, which often takes a very serious tone. They both have a bad guy who does similar kinds of bad stuff. Each character has special magic/melee abilities specific to them.
I recomend Fairy Tail for all who loved Bleach as it is kinda similar. It is basically about mages, majic and dragons. Like bleach it gets emotional at times and it also has some attractive character ;)
If you like fairy tail, then you will like bleach most likely and vise versa. Natsu is like ichigo. both achieve great power and will do anything to protect there friends and family. There is alot of action scenes also with comedy. Fairy tail has magic but bleach kind of does aswell in the kanpaktou. Also compared to the length of the series, there are very little fillers so you can watch these amazing action filled episodes.
What if roller skates had high power engines that enabled the skaters to do stunning new tricks that defy gravity? What if you saw a beautiful girl effortlessly glide through the air with them? To Ikki, this is reason enough to secretly borrow a pair of Air Treck skates, and step into an underground world filled with gang fights and strange customs. Enamored with high-flying stunts and the flirtatious Simca, Ikki forms an Air Treck gang of his own and starts a life of fighting rival gangs and flying over the rooftops, chasing the girl always one kick ahead of him.
I'm a dood, and i love shows with over the top characters with awesome powers. If you love shounen style anime, I highly recommend this show. It gives that great feeling of good guy vs. bad guy, leaving you cheering for the good guys right to the very end.
Both Air Gear and Bleach are about a thug-like male lead discovering a society made up of squads/teams and getting into battles. Sure, one's about swords and the others about some sort of roller-skate hybrid, but the two are actually pretty similar.
If you like Air Gear or Bleach you'll probably like the other. The main characters are really similar, and even though Air Gear is a much shorter series than Bleach they have the same feel. If you like the down time in Bleach you'll enjoy Air Gear. If you liked Air Gear Bleach will definitely hold your attention.
Both Air Bear and Bleach have a lot of action that will often take steps away from the plot in order to show off fancy moves. There's a bit of ecchi involved, more so in Air Gear than Bleach. The protagonists start out as street fighters with little knowledge of the world that they stumble upon. With a strong cast of supporting characters, these protagonists set some lofty goals. The animation style is also similar, with the characters pulling faces for comedic affect.
Air Gear is an anime you just have to watch everything about this anime is amazing the action, the story, the character development. If you like shounen anime this is one of the best that has ever been maid.
Both Air Gear and Bleach are very clear cut shounens. Both have a main character finding out he is special, getting stronger, making enemies and becoming incredibly strong in a short amount of time. Air Gear has quite a bit of fanservice compared to Bleach but it is by no means a harem. Watch if you enjoy action anime that has particular emphasis on 'gut' and determination.
In world where flesh-eating monsters roam the streets, only one organization has the means to save civilization from annihilation: Red Shield, a specially-organized unit designed to fight these monsters, and the only weapon that can destroy them: Saya. Awakened from a 30-year sleep, Saya is thrust into a modern world which she has no memories of, and is troubled by a past filled only with bloodshed and sadness. With the undying love and support of her family and friends, she struggles to gain the strength to move forward and regain the pieces of her shattered memories.
Blood+ is darker than Bleach, but they are both about fighting and have awesome sword fights. Blood+ is about vampires and has a little bit of gore, but it still has a lot in common with Bleach. You'll get the same feeling from both anime.
I enjoyed both Animes immensely. Both center around a main character who has amazing powers, and have to use them to help save their loved ones. They both also wield a sword. If you loved one, you will reallllly love the other.
While Bleach is a far longer series, sporting a more light and episodic feel, both it and Blood+ feature an abnormally strong protagonist battling against evil creatures that desire to rule/destroy the world. Along the way they confront the typical issues of right vs. wrong and the areas in between, and the troubles of maintaining relationships when faced with the challenges of saving the world.
That said, Blood+ is a good deal darker and deeper than Bleach (the latter tending to have more humorous/light scenes, and quite a lot more filler), and the strongest connection between them is intense, action-filled sword-fighting, wielded to battle grotesque looking monsters in an attempt to save the world.
Hmm, I think the most similiar thing in these anime is using swords as a main weapon. In both of them the mission of main characters is to kill Hollows/Monsters(Ch..something). Also the level of drama is comperable in both series although Bleach has occasional and quite good comedic reliefs while Blood+ is kept in dark and gloomy atmosphere form the beggining up to the end. I think that both anime are worth a watch for action oriented anime fans.
The sword is used in both animes. Although Blood+ is a tad more violent the art in it is quite stunning(note: not in some) In both animes it tell of what it would be like if this fantasy were to be true.
The action with a japanese sword is quite similar in both series. if you into a top action fighting show with tons of blood the blood+ is right for you. instead of spirits you be watching nasty fearsome creatures get their heads chopped off. and because Saya is part of them, the storyline gets intresting.
