Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!
Busou Renkin and Bleach have a great deal in common. The primary premise of both series is that a young man can do a great deal if he has enough determination and pain tolerance. In both series, the inexperienced but honorable boy comes upon what he perceives as a vulnerable girl in serious danger. In a somewhat ill advised attempt to save the girl, he ends up endangering himself and gaining unexpected powers. Each boy finds himself struggling to improve himself both mentally and physically; so, he can fulfill his roll as protector and defender. These are two action series which feature major combat and internal struggle with random bits of humor thrown in.
Both main characters, Ichigo and Mutou, have the same willpower and both get dark special powers; Hollows in Bleach and Dark Kakugane in Busou Renkin.
Both Busou Renkin and Bleach are very similar in that the story focuses around the main character being saved by a mysterious female. Both characters end up becoming powerful from the encounters with the mysterious female and continue to fight alongside her and the others they meet. If you liked one then you will enjoy watching the other.
Bleach is almost the same type of anime as Busou Renkin. Busou Renkin is a bit darker than Bleach, but it has the same amount of fighting and (perhaps more) comedy. In both anime people fight with special powers, but in Bleach they use swords and in Busou Renkin they don't. Although, one of the main characters in Busou Renkin fights with some sort of swords attached to her armor (it's a bit hard to explain, it looks really cool though =P).
Both Bleach and Busou Renkin have a very colorful universe, which makes them a joy to watch. They both focus on a male high schooler and an older girl who shows him the ropes of fighting, and fills him in on the way that the world works (at least for a little while). They both have a very flashy fighting style, and they both start with B. If you like one, I have very little doubt that you wouldn't enjoy the other.
The plot and the main characters are quite alike, they are both have serious and funny parts. But this anime i about alchemy (two forms of alchemy to be exact, arms alchemy and homunculus)
Both are about young boys, who are accidentaly put into a weird fight, after which they obtain a mysterious power. Also, if you liked the variety of characters with different powers in one, you'll find it in the other too.
Teenage boy tries to save girl, it doesnt work so well so girl gives him super powers! Boy wants to get stronger so he can save girl, protect all his friends and maybe save the world too ! Add a little comedy and some cool swordfights to the mix and you got two very nice shounen with alot in common.
If you like the the first you will probably like the other.
Even if takes your life, you will never give up, you will never back down, you will never let down the ones who believe in you. You will keep going forward! You will fight for the world, for your friends and even for those you haven't met and probably never would. You belive that's the right thing to do and it really is!
Both Busou Renkin and Bleach are created on that same theme. The main characters - Mutou Kazuki and Kurosaki Ichigo, are first thinking about others and then about themselves. But is it an advantage to be so selfless, to care more about the world that about yourself? Who knows? But if you, too, think that the world we live in is worth saving, you must watch these two animes!
Wow this one is easy. Both series have main characters scouted by badass chicks giving them the power. They even have similiar cool-looking weapons ( swords ). They are both fast learners with bad first impression but kind hearts. Bleach and BR are a good shounen anime well worth your time.
Both Busou Renkin and Bleach have male characters that are in a serious crisis and are saved by female warriors, both have similar weapons and the sumoning is nearly the same. If you enjoyed one of these great series, I guarantee that you would like the other one too.
I'm going with the masses and adding the obvious recommendation for these series as they are both so similar. From a similar plot line of a secret society trying to save the earth from the unknown monsters, schoolgirl and guy heroes, special powers to a female side character with very large breasts.
Both are pretty mindless and don't take much thought, occasionally delivering laughs. Regular fight scenes that take more time than is absolutely necessary.
These are certainly not the best shows I've seen, but fill some time when there's lack of anything else better on...
Yet another story about a boy whose life, as well as the lives off all his loved ones, are in danger. Mysterious creatures that bare little to no resemblance to anything they've ever encountered before, have begun to attack their home towns, leaving piles of bodies and taking countless lives. Both protagonists have learned the secrets that had long been hidden from the normal populous, and with the help of two very unique girls, they've obtained the power required to abolish the threats and save their town from extinction. However, what they still do not know is that there is more to it than meets the eye. Can the two live up to their new responsibilities, and accept the fact that they may have to leave behind the very people that they swore to protect in order to fight a greater evil?
Both of these anime's have a strong female supporting character that introduces and works closely with the male character who aquired his powers from the female character. Both anime's involve supernatural powers and defeat things that should not dwell on the planet earth.
As a reccomendation, I believe anyone who has watched either of these anime's and enjoyed it, would definitely enjoy the other
Bleach and Busou Renkin are uncannily similar in several ways. From the animation, the beginning storylines, the characters, the groups and the weapons, you could probably take some of the characters from one, plop them in the middle of the second, and things would work out.
Character-wise, Kazuki and Ichigo are very similar in motivation, temperament, combat styles and eventually story. Tokiko and Rukia are also very much alike, for similar reasons.
Busou Renkin has a storyline that hits the ground running, with very minimal asides and filler. If you liked Bleach, but want something a little more fast paced, check it out.
Alternately, if you liked Busou Renkin and want a little more, check out the early seasons of Bleach.
Very similar plot lines, though Bleach is a little more complex. Both plots host a strong female lead who discovers the male lead and helps him realize his power. Both plots offer heros an extra set of fighting powers. Very similar animes, both very enjoyable.
Busou Renkin is like a shorter version of Bleach. They both have weapons that suit their way of fighting. Also Kuzuki and Ichigo both meet a strange young girl who give them new power that'll help save the world. Both of the guys are also incredible strong and manage to win in the end. They also fight to protect they're loved one.
Hmm, where to start, maybe it's shorter if I just point out the things they do not share. Which is primeraly is their number of episodes.
Basicly it's about a normal guy, guy gets superpower, guy fights to save the things he loves. Bleach just takes more time for it all.
When I was watching Busou Renkin, I kept thinking of Bleach. Even with the usual spiky hair and oversized weapons, it's hard to not think of the other when watching either one of them:
Fight scenes a plenty against monstrous foes, the protagonist gaining strength through rigorous training, the cool trainer-esque female character who guides them (Tokiko for Busou Renkin and Rukia for Bleach) and the reason the heroes fight.
Busou Renkin actually ends and moves at a quick pace, while Bleach is still ongoing and moves at it's own pace (depending on the arc). No matter which one you watched, you're bound to enjoy the other as they both feature the same stuff that makes them good in their genre.
Both animes tell about a boy who was suddenly dragged into a HUGE mess due to a series of unfortunate events. The two protagonists gain power from a girl and start fighting along side with them. The two main guys strives to protect the girl and the rest of their loved ones. The action and excitement is just GREAT! If you liked Busou Renkin/Bleach, then DEFINITELY watch the otherr!!!
An akuma is a soul which has been brought back to life through sadness and despair with the powers of Millenium Earl. Their mission is to terrorize the earth and all who dwell within it. The Black Order is a group of Exorcists that have sworn to cleanse the souls of the akuma, and collect the substance known as "innocence". This powerful substance can be used as an anti-akuma weapon, and ultimately can help destroy the evil Millenium Earl. Allen Walker is a young Exorcist who has the ability to tell who is human and who is an akuma with the help of his cursed eye. Together with the Black Order, Allen must find all 109 pieces of innocence to protect the world and defeat Earl.
If Bleach is described as Soul Reapers destroying Hollows, then D Gray Man is described as Exorcists destroying Akumas. The difference is that D Gray Man is Catholic/Western, and Bleach is Oriental/Eastern.
If you liked Bleach, you'd like D.Gray-man because the fight scenes are great and it has the same feel as Bleach. Allen Walker, like Ichigo, is a very special exorcist and stands out above others.
Both main characters fight for the people they know and love and don't give up, even when all limits to their abilities have been exceeded. They are accepting of everyone else and are very sensitive. In addition, there are a lot of crazy and wacky side characters who lighten up the mood of otherwise dark stories.
Bleach is an excellent action adventure anime, and the same can be said for D. Gray Man. Both titles have strong charismatic males as their lead. Both are leads you want to support and fall in love with. Female or male audiences that enjoy Bleach would also love this lead character as well as intense battles and intricate plot line.
Both of these action packed animes focus on destroying creatures demonic in nature. Soul Reapers/Shinigami (Bleach) and Exorcists (D.Gray Man) are both societies created for the soul purpose of "exorcising" the evil of the world.
D.Gray and Bleach are both great series for action + storyplot. Allen Walker, for example, is similar to Ichigo in his path to discover what he is defending and how his power works. Both go on this enduring journey to discover themselves while protecting those that they hold dear. Epic battles are another reason why this should be watched... If you enjoy seeing moments where there is a return of a character or a new power has been acquired, then you will definitely want to watch D.Gray Man. Think Byakuya vs Ichigo and you'll understand how exciting it is.
Both are about a guy who gains a mystic power, they team up with other with skills to help reach their goals. Both animes ar action packed with parts of comedy too.
I both anime main characters are fighting with evil spirits! In bleach its hollows in d.gray its akuma! In bleach hollows are killed by shinigami in d.gray akuma are killed by Exorcists!in bleach weapons are Zanpakut? in d.gray man their weapon are Innocence! Both weapons are getting stronger with their owners!
The main characters Allen and Ichigo is very similar. Both fights akuma. theirs weapon is very alike. And everybodys problem lies on therse shoulders. It's a real adventy to watch, you will surely like it.
Both Ichigo (Bleach) and Allen Walker (D.Gray-Man) are gifted and/or cursed by their ability to see spirits. Their unusually high power reserves and obligation to help the souls they see lead both characters to join the ranks of (or associate w/) special, if somewhat dark and mysterious, organizations intent on saving souls-turned-monsters (hollows, akuma). Large casts and fighting abound as we follow the hero and his associates/friends on various missions/adventures to save the living and dead.
D.Gray-man is in a way the same as Bleach in Bleach the weapons are have types.in D.Gray-man they use innocence as a weapon and those weapons have to types and in both anime's you can connect in a way with your weapon and they both have a order where they fight fore, what i am trying to say that you would like D.Gray-man to if you like Bleach or vice versa
There are undeniable similarities between D.Gray-man and Bleach. First, there is the animation, very similar in styles. Second are the characters. Members of a supernatural organization who's mission is to defeat demons/spirits that prey upon humans? Check. Characters have their own unique abilities? Check. Characters showing off new abilities/growing stronger as the enemies get tougher? Also check. Main characters with the drive to protect everyone? Again, also there.
Basically, if you like long arc-ing storylines with figting and any of the above, and also liked either Bleach or D.Gray-man, I can pretty much guarantee you will like the other.
If you like Bleach you will like D.Gray Man too, because just like Bleach its a Demon Fighting style of anime, its funny in some parts and the story is just awesome *.*
These Animes both are trying to restore peace in a place. Though in Bleach they kill Hollows, in D.Gray-Man they Kill Akuma. Action Scenes are also the same, but Bleach uses Swords, and D.Gray-Man uses wierd Weapons.
Okay. I'll start off by saying that both of these animé have very similar battle scenes, for me anyway. Whenever I was watching one of them, it instantly reminded me of a scene in the other.
Also, the storyline, although both are full of fillers, is quite similar. Whilst watching D.Gray-Man, I found myself comparing the Akuma in it, to the hollows in Bleach, and the ceros from the Arrancar.
Both are great action animé that everyone should watch.
Both anime trim on the fight against evil spirits. While Bleach is about shinigami and D.Gray-Man on exorcists, the mixture of history with magnificent characters is enough to love both animes. Both have my fighting spirit.
Both Allen and Ichigo have absolutely no capacity to understand their own limits, this leads them both to the precipice of death many times only to rise up with a new found power and blast all their enemies from the sky whether it's hollow or akuma.
Also the Arc and it's hostile inhabitants reminded me alot of the dome used to house the Espada in Bleach.
D.Gray-Man and Bleach, both have:
- a focus on shounen, action, fighting,
- an organization that fights agasisnt evil spirits.
In Bleach they fight againts the Hollows while in D.Gray-Man they fight aigaints akumas. Both anime are long. and both are shounens. If you enjoy long anime with a lot of fight then i recommend watching both.
Once upon a time, two brothers passed the happy days of their childhood by studying alchemy, which is governed by the equal transfer principle: an eye for an eye -- you can't get more than you give. But these brothers tried to defy that law, and a horrific accident resulted. Now, the older brother, Edward, is called the Full Metal Alchemist because of his metal limbs, and the younger, Alphonse, is a soul without a body, trapped within the confines of an automaton. Together they search for the power to restore themselves, to find the lives they lost so long ago...
Superpower fighting - check. A larger-than-life story that slowly unfolds - check. Well made characters - check. Some exciting drama - check. ...with a dash of comedy - check. In the end this recommendation was quite a no-brainer...
Although the time and place of Bleach and FMA are different, the tension remains somehow similar. Both parties fight to survive and in both series there are plenty of jokes, even in difficult situations. There are more tragic episodes in FMA, but maybe if Bleach would have only 26 episodes it would seem quite sad too.
Bleach and FMA both have a lot of action. Bleach has a bit more comedy but I still think they'll give you the same feeling. Also, Fullmetal Alchemist is a bit darker, but they both have sad and funny moments. =P
Both FMA and Bleach are shounen anime and are very popular. They are filled with an interesting plot, unique characters, and a good mix of action, comedy, and plot. If you liked one of them, and are looking for something new to watch, check out the other one.
Fullmetal Alchemist is an anime about two brothers on a journey toward redemption that leads to so much more. This is an intricate action adventure anime on par with Bleach. If you like one's plot and narrative and action, then the other is the anime for you.
Both Fullmetal Alchemist and Bleach are great anime to watch if you love watching out-of this-world kind of anime. The fighting styles might differ in both anime but they are still cool, unique, and entertaining. Each anime is also funny and not too serious to watch.
Bleach and FullMetal Alchemist are both action-packed shounen featuring a spunky male lead who combats evil and in general plays the hero, in one form of the other, all the while sporting a fairly combative (and emotionally defensive) attitude. While they put up a tough front, both have a sensitive side, and are very caring and willing to defend the weak-- fight for justice.
Bleach is more well-defined as the typical good vs. evil cliche, while FMA has a good deal more gray areas, and often exhibits the darker side of humanity in a more effective way. Still, both have many light moments and character distortion/chibification, resulting in a pleasant mix of serious moments, combat, and hilarity (and oft-times actually witty humor, as well). I'd definately recommend viewers of one to try the other.
Both of the animes' character's are unforgettable, their stories are very funny and yet still action-packed. not to mention the character's try their hardest to keep moving forward, even if there's a giant boulder in their way.
Well.. Both have a lot of characters to develop, though FMA takes the focus on fewer characters than Bleach, but both are as action packed as you\\\\\\\'ll love if you watch one of them. The story is a lot more imersive in FMA, but Bleach takes a lot more focus into fight after all, but never forgets about the characters and everything that leads to all the fighting, and that\\\\\\\'s what makes it much more like FMA. And that\\\\\\\'s it.
Both are about a guy who gains a mystic power, they team up with other with skills to help reach their goals. Both animes ar action packed with parts of comedy too.
Protecting of friends and other loved ones after a tragic loss of another. These two shows fit well within one another. Alot of fighting is involved and some hurtful losses. And hints of romance.
How far will you go for those closest to you? These two series give you the answer, as well as lots of great fun and enjoyment while following these stories full of heart moving emotions, good-evil battles, unexpected changes of action and humorous situations.
Not that fma has around the same storyline as bleach. But one simalarinty isthat something they were born into(ed has alchemy and ichigo could see spirits) has set themon a journey to help someone or get something back.
Both of these animes come with action and comedy.
Besides a well-balanced action/comedy story, the main characters have a sense of strong determination to do what they believe is right. Though it sometimes gets them in a giant mess.
The main guys are not alone, of course. They have people that support and love them which drives them both farther to achieve their goal.
Action, drama, comedy, angst, supernatural elements, bad guys that just won't go away... Yup, all here! FMA and Bleach have many, many similarities.
The plots in each are larger than one would give them credit for in the beginning. As the plots slowly unfold the viewer finds themselves with many 'wow' moments. The battles are intense and manage to hold the viewers' attention.
I also find the main characters to be somewhat alike in the fact that they each strive to do what they belive is right and beat themselves up when things go wrong. They fight for their friends and family above all else. To me, each of the main characters has a bit of a superhero personality in that they believe they can save everyone and will try. When they set their mind to something there's no way to stop them.
Definitely, if you like one you'll like the other.
Both animes take place in an alternate universe, shaking things up a bit for the audience. Though Alchemy and Soul Reaper abilities are very different, they have that same element of fantasy that gives those watching ideas to create something for themselves. Both ALSO have implied romance; I say implied because it's never made clear through the duration of either of the series as to who has feelings for who when it comes to the romance between main characters. Again, it gives the audience a chance to let their minds wander and decide for themselves. :D
Both of these anime revolve around a powerful, young protagonist that has grand-scale adventures with a group of individuals with extraordinary abilities. Each anime has its own scientific principles that differ from reality. There is also a combination of comedy, action, and teen angst in both anime.
In the revolutionary Meiji period, Japan is undergoing enormous political change. It is a time when vagabonds and terrorists will use any method to prevent the modernization of their country, even if it means trampling on the innocent in the process. In such a time, Himura Kenshin, a wandering samurai, has dedicated his life to protecting the weak and desperate peasants from those who would oppress them. However, Kenshin has a dark past which threatens to destroy the values he is fighting for. When he meets his new friends Kaoru, Sanosuke, and Yahiko, and tries to build a peaceful life with them, events conspire against him. Can Kenshin overcome the demons within and without, and finally ensure the peaceful future that Japan deserves?
Both Bleach and Kenshin involve swordfights, and Kenshin reminds me of Ichigo (both feel they need to protect everyone).
Yu Yu Hakusho in a lot of ways is like Bleach. Both main characters have slight anger problems, both have to fight to keep their loved ones safe and both have to go to a different world and battle their demons.
Kenshin and Bleach are must-see anime. In both anime there are some extreme sword fights, and the main characters don't really like to fight but will do so to protect the people around them.
Both Bleach and Kenshin are action-packed and have characters who are filled with love, until evil strikes. If you are thrilled by these things then I guarantee you'd like these.
What I am liking about this show is that even though it is different in it's own way, it lends it's way to be goofy sometimes just like in Rurouni Kenshin (the series). It's pretty cool! A.
If you Loveeeeeee flashy sword fights and long spectacular battles, both animes Rurouni Kenshin and Bleach are for you! If you watched either one and cant get enough you can always watch the other one. Both are unique animes which specialises in their awesome swordplays. To top that up, their plot also makes it intresting to follow together with the amazing battles sending chills to the spine.
Both of the series includes swordsskills and how much the characters are evolving. And the maincharacters from both series evolves the most, and the only reason for that is so they can protect everyone around them.
Both anime's revolve around a prodigy swordsman, the hummor and fighting sequinces are simular in both, and the charctor devolpment is paid attention to dispite the huge amount of charactors.
I think both stories have the same samuri feel to them. They both share the actuon packed scenes followed by scenes of intense emotions.
Both of these anime has sword fights, comedy, romance, fiction and cool hair! (Couldn't help it)! Each anime has a main character who fights to protect with a sword, and i think that is probably the most important thing they both share.
If you're one of those people who enjoyed the anime as a whole for evertything about it, then this anime is also a must watch for you as they have many of the same qualities in them.
This series is about swordplay and a villian, just like Bleach. The main character here isn't like Ichigo. He is calm with a touch of humor when he wants to show it and serious when he needs to be. Ichigo in some ways becomes serious when he needs to, which links these two together. Overall, this is an excellent anime that will catch your attention quickly!
Both is a anime that you whant to wach more of. its a good story not just fight, thats inportant in a Anime. You are geting to know the pepole in the serie.
in bleach as in rorouni kenshin the hero is a reluctant one who is an amazing swordsman the only difference is the enemies as kenshins is usualy other man slayers while ichigo's are evil sprits they also have a hidden identity of which they can't escape ichigo is a soal reaper (shinigami) and kenshin is known as the legendary himora the batosai a man slayer who kills all in his path with the hiten mitsurugi sword style they both end up using their skills to save their loved ones they are both just great anime's to watch
Both anime are characterized by an interesting and beautiful story. We can compare them by their style samurai, the great battles and huge swords. However fighting in different worlds, since Bleach is more supernatural.
Sumimura Yoshimori is a Kekkaishi – an inheritor of the power to battle demons, using barriers called kekkai. His family is charged with protecting the grounds of Karasumori high school, a building which magnifies the power of demons who enter it. Helping him are his spirit-wolf companion Madarao, and next door-neighbor Yukimura Tokine, the daughter of a rival clan. Years ago, Tokine was injured protecting Yoshimori, and now he is determined to become strong enough to keep her from being hurt again. Of course, he'd rather bake his exquisite cakes than have to fight demons at all, but fate has something else in store! As a shadowy demon organization moves to steal Karasumori's power, can Yoshimori overcome legions of demons, a centuries-old family rivalry, and a grandfather who just can't understand his love for baking?
Both Bleach and Kekkashi are supernatural shounen power-up type of shows. If you liked one, you'd probably like the other.
If you're into school students having secret identities as combat and magic masters, fighting spirits and monsters to protect the unsuspecting communities around them, then both Kekkaishi and Bleach have a lot to offer for you.
If you liked Bleach, you'd like Kekkaishi because both are stories of teenagers who have to balance their day-to-day life with their job destroying evil. Both are good shounen action anime that will draw you in whether you like it or not.
Both Bleach and Kekkaishi are about superpowers, and both have a progressive plot with viable bad guys. Also, both series have a main male character with a self-burden of protecting his friends, specifically close female friends. Ichigo has Inoue and Rukia (Bleach), whilst Yoshimori has Tokine, his close childhood friend. Both series are also manga-based.
Bleach and Kekkaishi are about students that ought to protect their friends and the world around them using superpowers. Ichigo chasing Hollows ~ Yoshimori killing demons; Ichigo protecting Rukia/Inoue ~ Yoshimori protecting Tokine. If you liked one, you'd surely like the other.
Both Bleach and Kekkaishi run with the same idea of being a Shonen series. They are both about fighting demon like entities which later band together in an organization against the protagonists. There are lots of different characters with back-stories to learn about in each series. The main characters both want to protect someone they care about, especially a female friend. If you like one, you are sure to love the other.
there both about high school kids fighting demons.
the main characters both start out with an overdoses power and hidden potential but without the ability to use there power effectively and there main drive is to protect the people around them.
If you like action-packed shounen filled with characters who possess supernatural powers, then Bleach and Kekkaishi are anime for you. Also, Ichigo of Bleach and Yoshimori of Kekkaishi are very similar in personality.
Bleach and Kekkaishi center around a grumpy, spirit-world-sensitive high school student with special fighting abilities, tasked to secretly protect those around him w/ the help of some unlikely friends. In both series, spirits and spirit-world drama and mysteries propel the plot, while the uniquely high-powered hero (Ichigo, Yoshimori) hones his skills and learns to better defeat his opponents and protect his friends and family. Though Bleach is much longer, more complicated and violent than Kekkaishi, which keeps its world a little smaller and focuses more on the relationships between the leads, they have similar sensibilities.
They both involve students going around killng evil spiritd and the main characters have very simlar personality trait of wanting to protect those they care for
Both are great Shounen series. Both are keeping a certain place from getting harmed from the "Monsters" that they have to destroy, and both main characters try their best, to keep a certain safe , and away from harm.
Both series are about school students who have secret identities and are struggling to become stronger so that they could protect the ones they love.
kekkaishi is about the same, but is in different retrospect of bleach. IT is fun anime to watch!!!!!!!!!
