Both are about a hyper transfer student coming to a new school and upsetting the status quo. They both have a retro feel and are chock-full of hotblooded antics and are full of unabashed action.

Both anime share the same concept of transfer studen coming to a new school and making things go wild. With lots of action and a good amount of bizarre, there's a chance that fans of one might like the other.

Two hilarious parodies of genre cliches from Gainax. Blazing Transfer Student merely mocks the shonen sports genre, while Abenobashi covers a whole variety of anime genres, but if you laughed a lot at one, consider giving the other a try as well.

Gekigangar 3

Gekigangar 3

Ancient cave paintings left by the Super Paleolithic people tell of a great disaster befalling the people of Earth, when the evil Kyokka space empire will come to destroy all that we know and love. Humanity’s only chance lies in the prehistoric schematics for a super battle robot called Gekigangar 3! But even such a weapon is futile if there is not courage, love, and friendship among the brave humans fighting for peace and freedom! At least that’s what the crew of the Nadesico cruiser expect when they go to see the Gekigangar 3 marathon at the theatre…

They're both short OVAs that are highly enjoyable pastiches of classic 70' and 80'ss anime, ableit different genres: sports and giant robots, respectively. The art style, animation, music and tropes are highly evocative of the era, and to top it all of, they're both incredibly hot-blooded. If you liked one of them be sure to check out the other.

Real Bout High School

Real Bout High School

In the school of Daimon High, martial arts and starting fights are the biggest ways to boosting your grades, which is excellent news for Ryoko Mitsurugi, the school most popular kendo beauty. Her popularity and fame spark an idea for the heads of the schools, K-Fight! -- a system where the best fighters for each school challenge each other to one-one or all out battle royal. However, soon the K-Fights start to draw unwanted interest, some not even of this world.

Both anime are about students at a school where along with studing they get to fighting fist to fist and it is completely normal! Real Bout High School adds in some lame magical stuff where Blazing Transfer Student focuses mainly on the fighting and a little romance. If you love schools that are stranger than normal check either of these shows out.

Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku

Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku

In the name of keeping global peace, politicians have come up with a new method of sorting out disputes: they meet in locations across the world and wager on a game of Mahjong. Koizumi is the former Prime Minister of Japan’s Cabinet who is not only a Mahjong master, but won't let anything stop him from attending a game – not even three bullets to the chest from hired hitmen! No matter what obstacles appear in his path, be they alien-controlled ministers, weapons of mass destruction hurtling towards Tokyo, or the resurrected form of Chairman Mao, Koizumi will play his best hand, down to the very last tile.

Both cannot be taken seriously at all. One's about boxing, the other's about mahjong and both are about cheese. It's serious business in the political world of Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku and serious business in the school ring to win a girl in Blazing Transfer Student. Where they lack in anything plot-related, character related or sensible, they make up for in spades with absurdity, ham, aforementioned cheese and being a parody of the genres they represent. If you enjoy comedies that are senseless and stupid, sign right up for both!
