The concept of sharing a body is evident in both Ginban Kaleidoscope and Birdy DECODE. Everything starts off a bit shaky between the owner of the body and the one who has entered the body; however, little by little they both get along and get through trouble together.

Both lead females have accidently been possessed by a random male because of his death. Hilarity occures in both these anime as they try to learn how to cope with this new issue. Birdy the Mighty Decode takes on a sci-fi nature which is slightly more serious than Ginban Kaleidoscope but both are entertaining in their own way. Check one out if you liked the other.

Both of these series feature a strong female lead character with a weaker male partner.  The plot involves supernatural occurances in a high school situation.  The plot in both also leads towards one character potentially destroying the earth.

Both Birdy and Ghost in the Shell center on a female police officer with superhuman powers. Also, both series involve political complications and warring government factions that often hamper investigations.

In addition to the minor similarity in plot (otherworldly police person ready to apprehend space criminals? check!), both titles are just remarkably similar in tone. Each is a sci fi/action story but with a good dose of humor and plain old fun. It could be a gut feeling, but if you liked one try out the other.

Birdy the Mighty is about a woman and a boy who share bodies due to an accident. In Cinderella Boy, a man and a woman also end up sharing bodies due to a mysterious accident. Along with this, there is also a lot of crime fighting in both series', although the era and set is slightly different. However if you liked one of these animes there's a very good chance you'l enjoy the other too.

This is basically a gut-feeling rec, but Birdy reminds me of an arc-less DtB. There's the same sort of atmosphere, contractors/aliens roaming about unbeknownst to the general populace, the robot-like "dolls"/"marionettes", governments and police getting involved with plot-stuff, and one of those overblown Impending Apocalypse endings that seem to be so popular.

They're both sci-fi series with lots of action, but Diebuster has mechawhereas Birdy has interstellar police forces and terrorists. They both have a rather perky female lead with superhuman powers. The respective animation styles are reminiscent of one another and both use similar colour palettes. If you liked one of them you might want to look inte the other.

Shakugan no Shana

Shakugan no Shana

Sakai Yuuji thought he was a normal high school student, until one fateful day when time stopped. Watching in horror, he witnesses a monster devouring the "frozen" people around him; but luckily for Yuuji, he is saved by a sword-wielding red-headed girl that calls herself a "Flame Haze". The girl informs him that he has been dead for some time now and that his current self is merely a replacement for the human that he used be while alive. He is, she says, merely a torch whose life will come to an end when the blue flame in his chest ceases to burn. After this rude awakening, Yuuji realizes that he is able to see the flames of life in other "torches"; and after discovering that a friend of his is also a torch -- and her life is burning out faster than his – he gains the courage to live out the rest of his life with meaning. Will Yuuji be able to find his place in the world before he ceases to exist?

What can I say? Boy meets girl, girl has superpowers and abilities, while fighting evil, boy joins girl and forms a epic kickbut team.  The action is well placed while the city setting is very similar.  The comedic timing can be off at times, but the action scenes tie in with the overall story in these animes.  A must watch.

With the strange power of amorphous muscle, the curious parasite strikes an uneasy truce with Shinji: it will keep him alive and strong so that it may continue living, and will help protect him from the other parasites that might not take kindly to Shinji's mind still actively working. Can Shinji gain the courage to face the parasites and protect humanity? And would it even make a difference if he did?

Both anime feature an alien and a teenage boy sharing a body to fight other aliens, including (a) monster(s) that eat(s) humans and wears their skin + obtains their memories. Birdie is obviously the much more lighthearted of the two, but if you like one (and aren't squeamish in Parasyte's case) then it might be worth checking out the other. It's also worth pointing out to those looking in that despite initial appearances Birdy is very light on ecchi, being almost entirely limited to the titular deutoragonist's outfit, so don't let that put you off.
