Set in two different time periods, Curse of the Undead Yoma and Bio Hunter do have something in common: dark, crazy violence and gore.

Two dark trashy anime works from Madhouse and the mind of Ninja Scroll auteur Yoshiaki Kawajiri, full of weird monsters and weird stuff going down. Neither are good really but if you liked one on one level you're sure to enjoy the other.

Judge and Bio Hunter have a very similar feel to them. Lots of crazy stuff going on except Bio Hunter is a bit more violent. Other than that, they have a pretty similar feel and the animation is fairly close as well.

The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor

The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor

Shou Fukamachi is just an average high school student, until one afternoon, Sho and his friend Tetsuro stumble upon what looks to be a landmine, which Sho accidentally activates. Instead of attacking and killing him, it grants him control of the Guyver, a powerful biological armor, which the evil corporation Chronos wants to take at any cost, even if it means killing Shou and his friends.

MalteseFalcon

Maybe it has to do with the fact that the Zoanoids of Guyver remind me of the demons in Bio Hunter, or maybe it is just the darker tone and atmosphere of each series. I just think that if someone enjoyed one, they should take a look at the other for something similar.

Vampire Wars

Vampire Wars

Kousaburo Kuki is a no-nonsense man's man who's good with his fists, and with the ladies. Currently residing in the seedy underbelly of Paris, his best friends are prostitutes and his life seems uneventful -- that is, until a friend is brutally murdered and he finds himself entrapped in a twisted nightmare of conspiracies and creatures of the night known as vampires. Bio Hunter and Vampire Wars both have a certain dynamic to them that are familiar when watching either. Is it the violence, gore, and sex appeal? Is it the horrific monsters/vampires? Maybe it's the suspense and campy feel, who knows. Regardless, I think if you liked one you'd like the other.
