Synopsis:

School doesn’t have to be boring; for Chiyo and her friends, high school brings no dull moments! Chiyo is asked to bring her video camera to class and make a film to put in a time capsule. Overbearing and obnoxious Tomo just can’t stand to let Chiyo have all the fun though, so she quickly runs off with the camera. From the moment she has control, things are turned upside down in this quiet school. Despite the chaos, all of the girls shine during their short moments of fame. Tomo may be wild, but she manages to perfectly capture the true personalities of everyone on this tape that will be around for years to come... or will it?

Strawberry Marshmallow

Strawberry Marshmallow

Ahh, the life of an elementary school student. Though Chika, Matsuri, Miu and Ana should focus on schoolwork, they’d much rather have fun instead. Whether it’s outings with 20-year-old-chain-smoker Noboe, holding each other hostage or learning to speak English with Ana’s foreign-born skills, there’s never a dull moment in the life of the girls. Join this cute quartet as they do cute (and often devious) things in cute and quirky ways!

Lot of same humour based on adorable girls and their cute antics. Very fun to watch. The charactors are a nice mix of personalities and thier interactions with one another are at times hilarious, insightful & endearing.

Liked the funny, wacky, weird and yet adorable way the characters acted in Azumanga Web Daioh? Chances are that you'll love Strawberry Marshmallow in that case! The show follows the same "group of girls doing stuff" formula, is a bit less spastic and a bit more adorable, but just like Azumanga Web Daioh, just funny and enjoyable.

Animation Runner Kuromi

Animation Runner Kuromi

Now, with only a week left until the key animation is due, Kuromi must wrangle up the group of slackers who must finish Time's Journey 2 before it's too late!

Animation Runner Kuromi and Azumanga Web Daioh both have one major purpose: capturing the personalities of their characters and being funny. If you like Azumanga Web Daioh you'll definitely like Animation Runner Kuromi. Since it's also a quick watch (though not as quick as Web Daioh), you don't really have anything to lose either!

Both anime are about girls doing what they do best. Being random and trying to learn in school while goofing off with imagination. If you liked one you'll probably like the other. You should probably watch their relating series first though.

Di Gi Charat: Rocket from a Mouth

Di Gi Charat: Rocket from a Mouth
  • TV Special (1 ep x 10 min)

After facing numerous defeats by Dejiko and her eye-beam, Piyoko and the Black Gema Gema gang decide that a new strategy is needed. Piyoko also has a mouth-rocket attack, but since it takes longer to shout out the name of this attack Dejiko's always hits first. And so (after a lot of planning, equating and messing around) the gang members think up new ways to improve the attack, from talking faster to treating the mouth with more respect. But will any of these ideas work when Dejiko arrives on the scene?

Like really short and silly one-off specials with cute characters and random comedy? Then both Azumanga Web Daioh and Di Gi Charat: Rocket From a Mouth are ideal. Don't expect epic adventures from either, instead sit back and enjoy the fun, no matter how short-lived.

Lucky Star

Lucky Star

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

Both series are about kawaii high school girls and their every day problems. If you liked one, you'd definitely like the other.
