If you liked the Ayatsuri Sakon anime, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
In feudal Japan, evil spirits known as mononoke plague both households and the countryside, leaving a trail of fear in their wake. One mysterious person has the power to slay the mononoke where they stand; he is known only as the Medicine Seller, and he vanquishes the mononoke using the power of his Exorcism Sword. However, in order to draw his sword he must first understand the Form, Truth and Reason of the mononoke. Armed with a sharp wit and keen intellect, the Medicine Seller wanders from place to place, striking down the mononoke in his wake.
Though there are many horror anime, few are as similar as Ayatsuri Sakon and Mononoke. Though they visually are not alike, each has an element of detective work that makes it unique. Both the Medicine Seller and Sakon both must use their powers of deduction to get to the bottom of fairly gruesome cases. If you liked one, try out the other.
The mystery of "The Blade Children" is a secret which has remained well-hidden, and has cost some their lives. After Narumi Ayumu's brother disappears in a search for the answer, Narumi is forced to unravel this mystery for himself. Join him in his investigation which will lead him to the secrets of the Blade Children, and to tests of skill which may prove to be fatal.
Michiru has an unusual ability: she can see a dark ring around a person's neck that signifies their time to die. However, she suppressed her powers once she "saw" the deaths of her parents – until now. After accidentally seeing rings around the necks of two boys in her school, it seems that Michiru's powers are back for good. The two are zombies who are working for the secret loan office known as Zombie-Loan, and they need Michiru's help to find other zombies – those with dark black rings around their necks. Though Michiru initially refuses, due to a series of events it seems she has no choice but to comply...
Both Zombie Loan and Ayatsuri Sakon can be classified as horror anime with perhaps a bit of mystery. The characters are unique and fun and incredibly easy to love, but are completely difficult to understand to the very end. Enjoy them both, I am sure you will!
