OK, this is not much, but if you like characters with more than one person inside and transforming into angels (or sth similar to angels) the two series have this in common ;) D.N Angel is more about commedy and fun while Ayashi no Ceres has a rather dark plot but not without some brighter parts ;)

Red Garden

Red Garden

Four students of the same age have nothing in common except that they attend the same elite New York City school. Kate, Rose, Clare and Rachel all belong to different cliques and hardly notice each other's existence. Then one day they gain something in common, something very important, something mysterious. They find themselves drawn together by the death of a fellow student and the secret of their own missing memories. Suddenly they are thrown into a world of hidden warfare on the city streets and are caught up in secrets which would not be believed by others. These four all have their own problems to struggle with, things that seem more important than such strange conflicts. Can they escape from this fate? The only thing they know is that despite coming from four different worlds they now have to rely on each other or die without a hope.

The theme of a long, onerous curse, resting on one or more families or clans, plays an important part in the stories of both Ayashi no Ceres and Red Garden. Furthermore, in both anime there are characters caught between conflicting obligations imposed by kin or curse.

I imagine you enjoyed Ayashi no Ceres for the romance and action. Ah! My Goddess is pretty much in the same field, only with Norse mythology, as opposed to Chinese.

Both Monster and Ayashi no Ceres are about twins and there are deep dark secrets in the past that must be discovered and brought to light. Each twin has a different purpose and this is discovered throughout the series. If you liked one then you will definitely love the other.

Reasons you might like Ah! My Goddess TV...

Codeman Codeman says...

Ah! My Goddess and Ayashi No Ceres both have magical female lead characters, and in either titles evil plans or ideas persistently interfere. Ah! My Goddess makes an effort to mask the darkness present in the world by having humorous "evil" characters. Ayashi No Ceres offers more of an intense experience. One factor that continues in each anime is the fact that the leading female characters continue on the path that they want to follow even when told to divert from this path.
