I think if you like one of these anime you'd like the other one because it has personality switches and some violence, both very good.

Ayashi no Ceres is kind of a shoujo version of Elfen Lied. They both involve a lot of bloodbaths and switching personalities.

Earthian and Ayashi no Ceres both have surprisingly similar feels about love, tragedy, and fate, each conveniently dealing with angels. But besides that, I just got the same kind of feeling watching both. Earthian definitely isn't as romance heavy.

If you're looking for the same theme with "making new people" by brainwashing them and magical powers. You shoul check this out. But Ayashi No Ceres got alot more romance and is more focused on two characters. But still a close call to E's otherwise.

Ayashi no Ceres and Please Save my Earth aren't too similar in their plot, but in both series the main characters have been endowed with the spirits of a past life, and must fight to protect the ones they love, or the earth.
