There is a legend of an angel who fell to Earth many years ago, and was forced to marry a man because he held the key to her only way home. Fushigi Yugi was made by the same person who made Ayashi no Ceres, so the styles of animation and character development are similar. ^_^ It's pretty good too. If you liked AnC, try out FY.
You just about have to be girly to enjoy the work of Yuu Watase. If you like one, you will like the other. Both are full of romance, really hot guys, and some pretty good action.
Both Fushigi Yugi and Ayashi no Ceres are romantic stories involving magic and mystery, and have elements of comedy. The heroines of both series are girls who, although independent and strong, still desire and depend on a strong man.
Both of the series are created by Yuu Watase and have the same kind of animation. There is a supernatural side to both of the stories and the main heroines have to put themselves through a test of life to decide what is best for everyone. The main heroines, Aya (Ayashi no Ceres) and Miaka (Fushigi Yugi) have decisions to make affecting the outcome of the people that they love. Each series is also a reverse harem.
Both Ayashi No Ceres and Fushigi Yugi, created by mangaka Yuu Watase, will make you fall into their magical universes where both love and hatred entangles.
anyone who has seen either anime will love the other, not only where these created by the same person but both anime are tales about normal girls who find out that they are not so normal, about fighting for the people they love, discovering love, and themselves. i would highly suggest either of these animes.
Very similar themes, story lines, even the characters look similar. Fushigi Yuugi is probably a little more lighter and longer version of Ayashi no Ceres.
Both anime are about love and sadness from separation from the most precious person. At the same time both anime contain, action, fights, predestination and magic. They are both dramatic and well developed. Although Ayashi is much more bloody and not so funny as Fushigi Yugi.
Both of these series have a similar artistic feel to them and also incorporate themes of mystery surounding the love interest. The most common theme in these series is the young girl beginning very selfish and imature and later becoming more confident in themselves and more mature.
Same author, same art style. While watching one you'll get the feel of the other. Both are made up of romance and fantasy. The only difference is that Ayashi no Ceres has a more serious atmosphere while Fushigi Yuugi has some comedy thrown in the mix.
This anime is by the same writer and the writer did an excellent job on both animes! I'd recommend both animes to almost anyone.
Ayashi no Ceres is a very similar anime compared to Fushigi Yugi, not just because of the fact that they both are the work of the same author, but also because they both include romance, fantasy, and sadness. Veiwers feel strong emotions as they do while watching Fushigi Yugi. Also, the ED song fades into the climax of each episode, giving a gut feeling that both of these animes are similar. A person who enjoys Fushigi Yugi would definitely also enjoy Ayashi no Ceres and vice versa.
Both of these anime are incredibly similar in animation style and both tell the story of an important time in a young, innocent girls life. Miaka is sent to another world while Aya's world as she knows it is turned upside down. Both make love connections and struggle to make them work amongst the turmoil around them. I watched both of these and though they look similar, the stories are actually very different. The first episodes of both series' are very compelling.
Well, they are both made by the same author. But that doesn't count. What it does count is the fact that both of them will take you along their journey and will captivate you in their story. They both succeed in making the viewer feel the emotions flowing into him as the characters experience love, betrayal, hate and as they have to fight, and have to arm themselves with courage in order to win. Magic and fantasy are both present in them and give the animes warmer surroundings. You will find that there are many scenes that will shake your ground due to the amazingly detailed flow of emotions. So, if you liked one, you'll definitely like the other!
I recommend Fushigi Yuugi is because this anime has a lot of related things to Ayashi No Ceres for example is you really liked the drawings of Ayashi No Ceres you might find Fushigi Yuugi' characters that look a lot like characters in Ayashi No Ceres. And if you are a fan of Watase Yuu anime/manga you will surely love this anime since it is also another wonderful creation by Watase Yuu. There is alot more things in common you will notice when you watch Fushigi yuugi.

From the improbably strong romatic relationship between the main characters, to the courageous female lead, to the animation, there are many similarities between these animes. X has wonderful animation and music, and the story is to die for. It's about as heart-wrenching as Ceres as well. If you liked AnC, you would probably like X TV also! ^_^
Both of them concentrate on saving and protecting loved ones and as well as reincarnations (as some have already said). Ayashi no Ceres is more of a romance and X has more of a darker side, though they both tend to have a shockingly violent feel and have a very dramatic story, which isn't too common in shoujo. It's safe to say someone who likes one will like the other.
Both series focus on the idea of destiny/fate and the desire to protect the ones you love. However, Ayashi no Ceres has more romance than X TV. This shouldn't discourage those who aren't into romance anime because the storylines in both are so well executed that their themes/focus on destiny/fate will definitely keep you interested throughout the series! So if you like the theme of destiny, action, a little or a lot of romance, and a great storyline then you'll definitely like both of these series!

Both X TV and Ayashi no ceres deal with young people being born into a set fate and posessing powers because of this fate. While X TV has a darker feel neither anime shy away from death and both have a good mix of sorrow and love. Both anime deal with the protagonist's (Kamui in X TV and Aya in Ayashi) emotions as they come to terms with the sudden drastic changes in their life and learn to cope with their new powers and a fate that doesn't seem quite fair. Different plots but very similar.
Both dark and tragic, these stories bring similar emotions. Action and intense human relations make up the story, displaying both the love and beauty of life, while showing how short and sad friendships and loves can be. However, these are what makes it worth living in the first place.

What is similar about both series is the idea of incest love (although Ayashi no ceres has its carmical explanation of it), and the idea of supernatural being co-existing inside the main characters. Both series deal with the power of love (=the power to overcome all difficulties) and friendship. Ayashi contains very bloody scenes, but Angel Sanctuary sometimes doesn't avoid them either. I think I you liked one, you would surely like the other.
Well to start of obviously the theme of angels is present in both these anime. Both Aya in Ayahsi and Setsuna in AS are born as the reincarnations of a vengeful angel. As both try to come to terms with this startling revelation the world around them falls apart. Both animes also spend time focusing on the love between the protagonists as well, with that relationship being the driving plot from which many sub plots and intrigacy is woven.
Cross Academy is a school with a difference: in a unique and experimental setup designed by the headmaster, it has a Day Class consisting of ordinary humans and a Night Class filled with vampires. Yuki Cross and her friend Zero Kiryu are school prefects whose job it is to make sure the secret of the Night Class is always safe; they patrol the school grounds at night and supervise the switchover of classes at dawn and dusk to prevent any 'accidents' from happening. While Zero is suspicious of vampires and hates the idea of sharing the same space as them, Yuki admires the Night Class for their beauty and sophistication; she is especially intrigued by their charming leader, Kaname, because he once saved her life. However, as Yuki quickly learns, not all vampires are amiable like the Night Class, and as terrible events unfold, Yuki must ask herself whether in a world where vampires are the hunters and humans are the prey, peaceful coexistence can really be achieved.
Ayashi no Ceres is a tragic and dark shoujo, albeit with lots of cheese thrown in. And the exact same thing can be said of Vampire Knight. However, Vampire Knight has a better executed story, and far more intense and engaging romance than Ayashi no Ceres. If you're looking to get gushy over bishounen and want some more interesting twists on well-known legends, then definitely try Vampire Knight.
If you liked the love triangle between two guys and one girl in Ayashi no Ceres, you would probably also like Vampire knight. Vampire Knight is also a dark and dramatic romance. So if your looking for a non-comedic love triangle then you should definitely check it out.
Both are intense drama shoujo with 2 bishies loving and protecting 1 strong but lost girl. Both girls love their brother and best friend. Both anime bishies fight well and slaughter many to shield the girl from viscious killers. VK girl a vampire within vs ANC girl an angel within. VK story addicting and thrilling vs ANC story engaging and moving. Must watch for bishies in shoujo fans!
when i think about Ayashi no Ceres and Vampire Knight i can only think about two things, suspense and horror aspects. Both of them have though-provoking, interesting, intriguing plot lines that will make you grab the screen until it ends, imploring for more. Both shows feature interesting characters so if you liked one be sure to check the other one as well.
Vampire Knight and Ayashi no Ceres both involve intense love triangles with both males intensely caring about the heroine. Aya and Yuki are both strong willed leaders that have a mission ahead of them that they have to complete. The stories are enthralling and fairytale like.

Both Witchblade and AnC are about a woman/girl that is trying to fight her destiny for a better future. Both of them became "supernatural beings" at a point in their lives when they encountered the "thing" that changed their lives for the worse.
Ayashi no Ceres and Witchblade, are both about a girl/woman fighting for her own destiny and the people she cares about. Both are supernatural beings and the transformation has a more mature attitude and seems to be more capable all around while untransformed there is an innocent girl in place that relies on others for help.
Both main characters have two different personalities. One side is weaker and confused while the other side is strong and will do anything to accomplish the goal. Both personalities are fighting for a better future for themselves and the ones they care about. If you liked one check out the other.
