Robot Carnival

Robot Carnival

This collection is comprised of 7 very different and unique stories. This OVA series preaches of intriquing storylines and fantastic artwork, each from a different artist. Each story has a different interpretation or concept about the one theme upon which this collection revolves: Robots. This interesting anime classic has least one story for everyone.

Atama Yama and Robot Carnival are both insightfully done with fantastic imagery and very busy visuals. While Atama Yama is considerably shorter than Robot Carnival, both can be enjoyed equally on their own merits. If your a fan of things thare are a bit bizarre, both are sure to please.

Super Kuma-san

Super Kuma-san

Kuma is a typical friendly sentient stuffed bear -- that is, until he gets angry and transforms into Super Kuma-san, protector of all that is good and pure! With a homicidal doll on the loose, Kuma-san is up to his paws in trouble. Can he stop the carved beauty before it's too late?

While Atama Yama and Super Kuma-san don't share much in common other than extreme weirdness and a sort of surrealistic set of imagery, I can only think that if you really enjoy one, you can't help but enjoy the other.

Both of these are bizarre short comedies about the consequences of merging realities. The difference is Atama Yama tells an actual story while The TV Show is just an entertaining music video. However, that's unlikely to prevent you from enjoying both.
