In both, the lead character has to grow up quite a bit during the passage of the series. They have different goals, but the main thrust is the changes that occur at least partly due to the romantic feelings the lead heroines have.

AnM is darker, and TSFS is bright and cheery. But both have to do with the things people do for those that they love. Past that I have NO idea why you'd like one if you like the other ... but I think you would.

Both of these animes lie pretty far along the spectrum towards cutesey style, and the way in which the romantic aspect of the plot (which is most of it, really) is similar, comprising a great deal of blushing. NOTE that Onegai twins is quite a bit more ecci than asgiri no miko, so if your looking at this from the AnM side...

More plot, more episodes (as I type this, it's still being fansubbed). Good characters, and another show that should be good for anyone to watch.

Overall, Asagiri no Miko and Aquarian Age give different moods in their atmosphere, but there are a few events that give off the same feel, especially during battles. Both involve spiritual seals and Miko. I found that the main trial they went through developed in a similar way. Aquarian Age has deeper drama and great animation.
