If you enjoy futuristic classic anime with a hint of cyberpunk then you will most definately enjoy both of these anime. They both share similar ideas of humans co-existing with human-like robots and all the drawbacks of this new society. Where AD Police set from point of view of different characters(mainly around AD Police special police unit) dealing with mallfunctioning robots, Armitage story based on a badass girl android full of emotions that is trying to discover purpose of her existance, where she came from and what exactly is she.

Both are action-oriented series featuring strong female heroes. And violence -- lots of it. Armitage is a sci-fi movie, and Blood is set in mid 20th century Japan, but anime action movies fans should enjoy both.

Both series present a similar visual approach to the combat. They also have strong lead female characters that go up against the powerfull government/corporations to survive.

These shows are quite different in many regards, but they are very similar when it comes to the idea of robots. Both have a clear message that robots can have feelings just like humans and even fall in love. Both stories have to do with humans treating robots as just 'things' and not as living beings.
