Synopsis:

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by earthquakes, grotesque monsters and powerful demons run rampant through the streets of New Tokyo. Only a select few people have been trained in the techniques necessary to defeat these creatures. Brothers Kakugo and Harara Hagakure not only possess the skills, they also harbor the power of the Zero Armor containing the souls of thousands of warriors. Separated from his brother, Kakugo roams the land fighting in order to restore some sort of peace and safety to mankind. However, he finds these monstrosities to be merely pawns to a much larger adversary from his past, who may prove to be his most dangerous opponent of all.

The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor

The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor

Shou Fukamachi is just an average high school student, until one afternoon, Sho and his friend Tetsuro stumble upon what looks to be a landmine, which Sho accidentally activates. Instead of attacking and killing him, it grants him control of the Guyver, a powerful biological armor, which the evil corporation Chronos wants to take at any cost, even if it means killing Shou and his friends.

At their simplest, Guyver and Apocalypse Zero are anime about a guy in a living power suit that fights monsters and opposes an evil organization.

Guyver does away with the over the top gore of apocalypse zero and instead comes up with more story and character development. Regardless, if you enjoyed the battles in Apocalypse Zero, you are sure to enjoy Guyver.

Violence Jack 1: Harlem Bomber

Violence Jack 1: Harlem Bomber

Time has passed since a comet struck Earth, causing catastrophic damage and decimating the population. After a giant earthquake destroyed the Kanto region of Japan, its citizens were left alone and lawless in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. One man known as the Slum King rose from the ashes and took power of the area, forcing any captured women to become sex slaves and ruling the remaining population with an iron fist. He's rivaled by only one man: Violence Jack, a giant who roams from place to place, protecting the innocent and shedding ample blood in the process. Mari is a young woman who is captured by the Slum King's minions on her way to find her missing boyfriend Ken; though as she's being 'trained' for her new life of servitude, Ken - who is now working for the Slum King - sees the situation and tries to free her. However, he fails, and thus finds himself forced to do the impossible: kill the Slum King's enemy - Violence Jack.

If you have a strong stomach and want some really gross over the top violence then try either one of these titles. The plot, characters and settings hardly matter in either of these titles, they are both all about the shock factor. Both of these anime have some pretty horrible acts of sexual violence that will turn off even the most hardcore viewers, but if you still want to test yourself with some truly over the top gore then either of these titles should fit the bill. Just don't complain when you're having nightmares about a giant demon woman tearing your face off and using it as nipple pastie.
