Both anime are made by the same person. They both take a look at human life and have a quirky atmosphere to them. If you liked one then you should watch the other.

Both Apartment! and Run! take a quick look at the life of an average man. Apartment! takes a look at a specific instance (moving in and settling into a new apartment complex) whereas Run! takes a much broader look at life from birth to death. However, both have a similar feel about them.

Often human behavior is little better than that of animals. Men act like mere obedient dogs to their spouses, lone males howl like wild beasts, and wives feel the need to keep their husbands in check with a broom beating.

Both are shorts that take a look at the lives of humans. Both are without dialogue and have blocky animation. Human Zoo is definitely more abstract, however, but the feel is the same with both.

Both shows feature a young boy, who ends up having a girl bound to him that he uses as a weapon. There's not a whole lot in common other than that, but some of relationship development is similar.
