Young Ai has decided to move away from home and start a new life on her own, and her travels take her to the colorful and friendly Animal Village! Upon her arrival, Ai is pushed into a job at the local shop (under the watchful eyes of Tanukichi); and in no time at all, she becomes friends with a variety of friendly and odd characters such as Bouquet the cat and Sally the elephant. As the seasons pass, Ai’s life remains a fun adventure – and one evening, she finds a mysterious message in a bottle telling her that if she plants a tree, on the night of the Winter Festival something mysterious will happen… what will it be?
Young Misha the bear has just moved to a new town with his loving parents, eager to start a new life in the countryside. With town bullies and suspicious adults to cope with, fitting in for the family won't be a piece of cake. However, with the help of new friends such as the Mayor and his daughter Natasha, Misha will soon have plenty of fun adventures in his new home!
Ten years ago, Victoria Island's protector of peace and order, the World Tree, was destroyed, and humans were given the blame. Because of the tree's destruction, each of the five races - warriors, archers, magicians, thieves, and humans - moved to Maple Island, and have been enemies with each other ever since. Al is a young human who wants nothing more than to train and become stronger, and to do so, he disguises himself as a non-human to interact with the other races and learn their trades. Along with the snobbish magician Nina, Al will continue his training and search for adventures along the way; but one question remains: why are the evil Zakuns, as well as the other races, trying to find the seeds of the World Tree which were scattered across the land?
Little Patty Rabbit and her family are on their way to a new house in a new town, where Patty’s father will be the new postman. Along the way, they encounter the devious Wild Wolf who steals all of the town’s mail – and the adventures only continue from there. From Patty’s first day of school to mysterious fortune telling sessions, from visiting pen pals to grand birthday parties, there’s never a dull day in the lives of these friends. Patty, alongside her friend Bobby Bear, will have many fun times and new experiences in Maple Town!
If you like Maple Town, then you'll also enjoy this little movie.
The Animal Crossing movie is a heart warming tale about a young girl named Ai who leaves her home and moves into a little town called Animal Village, where are the residents are, of course, animals!
The story line is pretty simplistic and sweet, but then again doesn't that go the same for Maple Town? Plus the end of the film has a neat little plot twist that'll make you smile. (I sure did!)
And if you like The Animal Crossing movie, then you'll find Maple Town a charming show that is a little like a slightly watered down version of the movie.
Not that MT can't stand on it's own, the show has many characters, most of them are really lovable and only one or two will make you think, 'Okay, this is a little two sweet for me.' (Namely Patty Pig and her parents.)
The only problem is Maple Town isn't easy to find, but if you can find it and you like Animal crossing, then I highly recommend it!
The plush Momo and Komomo are special letter carriers: they deliver mail from the depths of the sea to the end of the universe, from the past to the future itself. With a positive attitude and smile, the duo delivers letters to doctors, beautiful women, insects, ailing old men, and anything in between. Who will Momo and Komomo visit today?
While different in many ways, I strongly believe that fans of either Animal Crossing or Post Pet will enjoy the other. Each has cute animal protagonists, whimsical activities (delivering mail, running errands), and a fun and happy feel.
