After her father moves and leaves her behind, Yui Komori arrives at the mansion she must now call her home, unaware of the horrors that await her. For Yui’s new housemates are vampires, and she’s been sent to live with them by the church as their prospective bride-to-be. But what sounds like the subject of a romance novel soon turns to despair, as these fanged beauties are delighted to have a new plaything to torment and will stop at nothing to force themselves upon her and drink her blood. Yui must now learn to cope with her new life of being sadistically abused at every turn, whether she’s called derogatory slurs, forced to feed the vampires’ bloodlust against her will, or being treated like the garbage they see her to be.
Both anime have been adapted from otome visual novels, and subsequently aimed at women. Each show has fairly similar character designs, with that classic "sexy bishounen" look being common place. Reverse-harem traits are in both too. The main girl of each series also have their similarities.
Both series are absolutely terrible as well, which is their biggest similarity if you ask me...
Both series feature bishounen Final Fatasy rejects attempting to woo, a bland female protagonist. The guys each take their turn with the doormat protagonist insisting that she belongs to them. The guys are controlling when they're not being outright abusive.
In Amnesia there's bits of an interesing plot between the girl dating her bishounen suitors, whereas in Lovers she's actually locked in with her rapey harem with no hope of escape. But both series are aimed at the same kind audience so if you saw one and want more like it then watch the other.
If you ever feel like watchign a Otome adaptation where a bunch of guys compete for a girl's hear in sometimes abusive way, then look no further, these two represent each other almost perfectly. Charachter design and general feel are quite similar as well, so I gues that you'll probably like one if you liked another...
Like Amnesia, Diabolik Lovers is also a shoujo anime and an adaptation of an otome game. Both anime have a quiet female lead with little personality and a variety of male characters of various personality types too. Infact, both have six main male characters each. I think that fans of Amnesia are almost guaranteed to enjoy Diabolik Lovers and vice versa.
I found both of these shows to be creepy and did not particularly enjoy them, but I think they're fairly similar. A cast of one-trait bishies surround a pretty, plain, and innocent female MC, who can't understand why/how her life has been turned upside down. Both have a supernatural aspect to them as well.
Both shows are shoujo anime and feature an quiet female lead with almost no personality at all. Both shows are reverse harems and have bits of mystery/horror in them. Amnesia has a few pieces of plot here and there but diabolik lovers really doesn't if you liked one you'll probably like the other.
Both anime are in the shoujo genre, with a particularly quiet female lead surrounded by 4+ men who compete for ownership or the aforementioned protagonist. The art style in both anime is very similar, with each male having his own unique hair colour and fashion.
Both shows deal with the "shy girl surrounded by really hot guys who just want to throw themselves at her" theme. The girl in Diabolik Lovers has a bit more of a backbone than the girl in AMNESIA, so that was nice to see.
Both are both a girl who is mixed up in fantasy worlds and ends up with quite a few male characters, these two anime are pretty similar when it comes down to characters and themes. Alice in the Country of Hearts is based around the Alice in wonderland idea and in this case Amnesia couldn't be any more different but the whole harem with a bunch of boys runs throughout both of these anime. Also the idea of cards and their symbols (i.e. Spade, Heart, Club and Diamond) appear quite frequently which in the end makes another similarity. So I believe if you love the harem-fantasy of either one you should like the other.
Both are shoujo romance anime with reverse harems as well as some more violent elements. Both contain fantasy elements.
Maebara Keiichi, an ordinary high-school boy, has transferred to a new school in Hinamizawa, a small rural village. At the outset everything seems peaceful and Keiichi becomes friends with a nice group of schoolgirls with whom he spends many idle summer afternoons. Suddenly violence encroaches upon the blissful peace of the village and Keiichi becomes entangled in an endless cycle of fear and death. The inconsistent, but inevitable horrors of Hinamizawa are told and retold becoming an endless and inescapable nightmare of insanity. Will it end even if the mystery of Hinamizawa is solved?
Each consist of groups of episodes that (sort of) repeat but with different things happening in between, and each group ends in death. Amnesia is feeling like a shoujo version of Higurashi
Both shows have mystery aspects and the episode's are in groups and other version each time the Characters/surroundings change. Amnesia isn't so violent as higurashi but if you liked one you'll most likely like to other one too. (But please note that higurashi is way more violent)
In the year 1986, eighteen members of the Ushiromiya family head to Rokken Island where Kinzo, the elderly head of the household, will soon choose one of them as his successor. A portrait of the Golden Witch Beatrice greets them as they arrive at the family mansion, along with a disturbing epitaph: she will be resurrected on the ninth twilight after a number of bloody sacrifices. Unfortunately for the group, the statements come true, and soon the carnage begins. Will anybody walk away from the ominous island, or are their destinies due to be forever ruled by Beatrice?
Both Series deal with alternate versions of the same story with a characters surroundings changing from episode to episode. There is also a theme of trying to establish which scenario is the real one overarching each episode.
They both have different ways of looking at things, I really recommend you watch this, it really gets you thinking just like Amnesia.
Reverse Harem-ish anime where the boys come in a variety of different personalities and hair colors. They revolve around a sweet, thoughtful girls.
Both are reverse harem anime that are based on Otome games. Both contain plenty of hot guys and colorful animation. Amnesia has a darker, more convoluted story, while Uta no Prince-Sama is more light-hearted and humorous. Still, if you like one, you may find something to like in the other.
