Synopsis:

Life isn't easy for Taishi; in the midst of World War 2, his parents have just been killed at the hands of the ruthless Kanto Army – but unfortunately for him that’s the least of his concerns: a sudden alien attack is threatening the entire world! Little does Taishi know that his father, Professor Tokamura, has entrusted him with a control system for a Geo-Armor Robot – the only weapon capable of fighting off the invaders. However, there are those who would use the Geo-Armor to win the war – rather than defend against the alien attack – and they will stop at nothing to obtain it...

First Squad

First Squad
  • Music Video (1 ep x 3 min)
  • 2005

War is hell for all that are involved. Swordsmen battle tanks, tanks battle snipers, snipers battle swordsmen - and many casualties take place. In the midst of the gunfights and the violence, lovers embrace and people contemplate while the body and artillery count piles up; thus is the reality of war.

Kishin Corps and First Squad have mainly one thing in common, both of them mess with WWII (for example they add some mechas here and there). If First Squad was too short for you, then you could check out Kishin Corps, on the other hand if you found KC lacking quality, then you should chcek FS.

Giant Robo

Giant Robo

In the near future, a small team of scientists have solved the world’s energy problems with the Shizuma Device. While the development of the device was hampered by a chilling disaster, the device is now viewed as the ideal power supply; it is clean, recyclable, and can be used to power every device imaginable. However, the terrorist group Big Fire has found a way to recreate the disaster that was triggered during the item’s development, in every Shizuma Device around the world. It is up to InterPol, a group of justice specialists with extraordinary powers, to stop this nefarious plan and save the world with the help of their trump card known as Giant Robo and the young Kusama Daisaku, the crux of the robot’s power.

The Mecha are lumbering giants with designs that harken back to an older time. Character desigsn, and the fact it is a team that works together helps too.

The character designs on the humans looks simple and fresh. The animation in both is fairly decent OAV 90's style.

The Big O

The Big O

Forty years ago the citizens of Paradigm lost all of their memories, and live their lives without any knowledge of their past, or any hope for the future. Roger Smith is a man who performs the much needed task of negotiator in Paradigm. He provides his services to the wealthy with the help of a peculiar android named Dorothy and his mechanically inclined butler Norman. When greater evil arises, he calls on his magnificent relic of Paradigm's past, the Megadeus Big O. With Big O at his side, Roger Smith may be Paradigm's only hope of surviving in this new world without memories.

Steam punk rivited mecanical robotic fighting fun.

The simplistic designs of the characters are only matched by the detailed designs of the mecha.
