Lucky Star

Lucky Star

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

The animes are both comedy about school girls. Lucky star is alot lengthier, but Aiura is still a fun watch despite its short length!

Both anime are about young, cute ladies who go through their comical lives at high school. While Lucky Star is filled with references of other series, Aiura is solely focused on their life.

Both of these slice of life anime are short episode and involve a group of school girls. Unlike a lot of other anime that fall into this category, these two don't rely on a lot of random gag humor. They are more about glimpses into the girl's school life. If low-key slice of life is what you're wanting more of, try this suggestion.

Both Go! Go! 575 and Aiura deal with a group of three girls that go to school together and do various things. Both of them are slice of life shows but Aiura also has elements of comedy.

Both of these anime are about girls that are just entering high school. As both anime are short episode, each episode is like a peek into the girls' daily lives. The art style of both is decidedly moe, as well. So, if you liked one, try out the other.

AngelBeatsYui AngelBeatsYui says...

Both stories follow a group of girls in their everyday activities with a hint of moe, both are short series that could easily be completed within an hour. They are both focus' on the comedy with girls element and I believe if you liked one you should try out the other xx

K-On!

K-On!

There's just one problem: she's never played the guitar before in her life! Joined by bassist Mio, drummer Ritsu and keyboardist Tsugumi, Yui and the gang will juggle their studies with buying instruments, learning how to read music and even performing in the school festival, all in the hopes of someday becoming a successful band!

Aiura's animation, style, comedy, and cute personalities all harken to K-On's 'cute girls doing funny things' style of comedy. If you're a fan of K-On! and well done slice-of-life comedy, I'm sure you'll enjoy Aiura.

Similar contents all over. While having very different animation styles and settings they somehow feel very much alike in terms of comedy in many sections.
