Emily and Pollyanna are both young girls who move in with their mother's side of the family aunt after their father suddenly dies. Both of their aunts at first only take the girl in because of 'duty' and are strict and old-fashioned. That's how both of the girls start their new orphan lives as they go through hardships, make friends and grow up.
Though Emily and Pollyanna are very different in personality, the set up of these two series is nearly exactly the same so it's a given you'll enjoy the other if you liked one of the two.

If you enjoyed watching a young girl living so care free and then having to overcome her hardships and rely on others, I believe this series ties right in! Both have uncanny similarities, such as a girl MC with one spirited young boy as friend, and even the aspect of a little rodent companion carries through to each series.
