Amazing Nurse Nanako and The Adventures of Kotetsu both feature a fair play of ecchi humor and crazy explosive action. With an almost reckless pace, these two anime carry their plots to comedic heights while offering enough substance to keep you entertained. Certainly worth a watch.

Bastard!!

Bastard!!

The Four Lords of Havoc have one terrible goal – to awaken the god Anthrasax and recreate the world. To stop them, Yoko, a maiden of Metallicana, awakens the ancient wizard Dark Schneider from within a 14-year old boy by bestowing upon him her virgin kiss. The only problem now is that the most chaotic, lecherous wizard in history resides inside the body of an innocent child. Even worse, he’s determined that neither hydras nor minotaurs should stand between him and his dream to conquer everyone and take the women for himself… all of which is less than convenient when trying to save the world!

Old School! Well if you didn't have a few bad anime, how could you really enjoy the good ones? Both Bastard and Kotetsu are terrible, yet hilarious! They are short, and are so much fun to watch and make fun of. Watch them!!

Devil Hunter Yohko

Devil Hunter Yohko

Who knew coming of age could be so tough? 16 year-old Yohko Mano is your typical high-schooler dealing with a not-so-typical upbringing. Her grandmother has been training her in the martial arts and tests her skills on a regular basis. And all Yohko really cares about is a date with Hideki! Well, fickle fate intervenes and Yohko's destiny as a destroyer of demons is revealed. This entertaining romp has plenty of fanservice and action to keep the boys drooling.

Devil Hunter Yohko and Kotetsu are both a bit on the fanservice-y side, but they each integrate an element of the supernatural into an action-packed adventure. Both are great picks for the guy who likes ghosts, demons, swords, and the occasional panty-shot.

Fight!! Spirit of the Sword

Fight!! Spirit of the Sword

Yonosuke Hikura appears to be an ordinary high school student. Yet he has inherited the important role, passed down through generations of his family, of protecting the harmony between Heaven and Earth. With the help of the magical sword Chitentai, and Tsukinojo Inbe, a Protector sent to him by the high Priests of Earth, he courageously battles the demons, sending them back to the Earth World, from which they have escaped.

The central theme in both of these OVA's is the latent powers of the sword used by the protagonist. They're set in modern-day Japan and vary back and forth between the light-hearted humor and serious fighting. Neither F:SotS or Kotetsu are very well known, but both are worth a watch if you just want a quick dose of action.

Hyper Police

Hyper Police

In a post-apocalyptic future, mankind now lives alongside demons, spirits and other supernatural beings. Everyone is interested in coexistence, but every society has rotten apples. The bounty hunter group "Hyper Police" does its part to catch and contain criminals, and with employees such as the half-cat, half-human Natsuki and Batanen the werewolf, law-breakers better watch out.

If you like cute and petite girls kicking butt and using their sword skills, this is the one for you. Aside from a similar sense of humor and action, these shows both have a very nice "good old fashion" anime feel to them
